Good product
Works well in my 55gal tank. Trigger mechanism starts & maintains siphon easily. (Tip: submerge entire unit first to fill with water then start.) Collection tube length good, I only needed to use one of two supplied. Tube diameter smaller than some others which makes it easier for me to get around rocks and plants. Drain tubing quite flexible which is good. (Tip: If water stops flowing check that tubing is not kinked.) Small trap where collector tube meets trigger handle sometimes clogs with dead leaves, etc, needing to be cleaned frequently (but also assures that stuff won’t clog tubing). Just right for my rig, which has coarse sand/small gravel bottom. Does cleaning and water change at same time.

Great suction but need room to get into tank
This is my personal experience with this for my tanks. Overall it works great and the suction starts very fast pulling trigger. So product is very good that way. We’re I don’t care for it as much is how bulky it is and you need plenty of space about the fish tank to use this. I can only use it on one fish tank because it’s free standing. All my tanks on a fish tank rack this will not fit in. There is not enough clearance with the size of the handle on this. Just before buying make sure you have the room.

Very slow, good for tall big tanks though!
I like the length for my bigger taller tanks. Its nice that I can clip it to the tank and leave it to keep sucking up dirty water while I tend to other chores quickly. I do not like how slow it is and at the wrong angle it will stop working. The gravel/rocks get sucked up fast so you constantly have to stop and open the whole tube and dump out the rocks and start over. Would give it 4 stars if it wasn’t so slow and if it came with a grill cover to keep the rocks from getting sucked up!

Best for aquariums under 7 gallons
I didn’t get to use it. It was way too big for our tiny tank. It looks like it would be good for 10-55 gallon tanks. It arrived on time, to the high-pitched cheering of little Tiger Barbs. I would recommend this for 5-7 gal aquariums.
