The good: I wish I’d known about this last year when two new kittens moved in that nearly singled… double-pawedly ripped my carpet up! This thing is fantastic! It’s thick, it’s spiky, and in a pinch you could use it for foot massage maybe?The bad: It ain’t as easy as it looks. Don’t get cocky. Measure! Measure again. Check it one more time, cut carefully. I recommend a good box cutter with fresh blades. Don’t waste good scissors on this. And don’t be fancy and try to get all the little twists and curves around your door, just cut in, and back out. Trust me.The meh: I wish there were more sizes, mainly wider sizes. Cats are sneaky, bold, and darn smart. I can’t trust them not to figure out how to pull this up or work their little arms through the spikes. Something wider would bore them into giving up sooner.In summary, would buy again, did buy again, and will probably need another asap. Precious on the inside, monsters on the outside!

Saved my carpet from kitten
I adopted a 4 month old kitten and he was spending a lot of time in the guest room while we were introducing the two cats to each other. He wanted out! He started digging and destroying the carpet. This was the only thing that stopped him. I did have to put some 15 lb weights on the other side of the door to keep him from moving it even though we cut it very precisely. Thankfully he is free now but this saved us!

Moves, needs anchor
Would prefer it 2x as wide. It moves on rug every time you step on it unless you anchor it down. Had to put under chair for it to stay in place.

SW the link for this on a cat fb group and wanted to try it. It was easy to unroll with a little heat from the blow dryer and just cut when itâs still warm! I had no issues. The kittens didnât scratch the spot or bite it at all last night so I call this a total win!
