    Actually quite brilliant!
This belly cover is quite brilliant! I am kinda struggling to keep the straps positioned where they belong on my little viking horse! The mesh is rather large and doesn’t necessarily block access of the gnats/no see ums, which she is allergic to. I’m feeling that a rectangular piece of mesh with velcro along the entire upper length to secure on her back would be more efficient tho. I will keep searching.

    Worst product ever
I put the product on by following instructions that were given, which weren’t very clear to begin with. 20 minutes later it had fallen off his back end. The next day the barn manager put it on following the instructions just like I did and the next day it was shredded to pieces. Horrible design and I sure hope I get my money back.

Great idea. Didn’t last. Try w fly sheet on top.
I really needed this to help my horse get through habronema. This was a great idea and was very successful for another horse in my barn. It took a couple minutes to put on and adjust. Initially, it seemed like this would work great for my horse (17 hand warmblood). Unfortunately, he ripped through it the first night. It can be sewn and fixed once I get motivated. Velcro closures need to be bigger/longer. Next year, on not-too-hot days, I will use this and put a kool coat or fly sheet on top to help secure it a little better.

    Equine fly sheet
Bought this fly sheet for a horse that had bad sores from flys. It worked very well to protect sensitive areas around sheath area. I did have to sew it a few times where it ripped from getting caught on stalls, otherwise it did the job.Beware though, it takes at least 2 people to put on. I bought extra Velcro straps to help keep it secure.I would recommend. If easier to put on I would give it 5 stars.

    Summer sores be gone!
This thing is amazing- it was the only way to heal and prevent summer sores on my horses sheath. These things are NASTY, but necessary. Highly recommend rinsing than every night once the flys go down, and letting it hang dry overnight, because other wise you’ll have to wash wash it every couple of days. Absolutely worth it though if your horse is prone to sheath summer sores- just get it, keep it on all day every day and you won’t have to think about it

    Great idea, poor execution
Really liked the idea as my horse has bad allergies (22 to be exact 🤦🏼‍♀️) and gnats have been horrible this year. His poor belly is just eaten up.The Show: trying to get this thing on…. Comical. I could have sold tickets, which would have help offset the cost!Fit: I think it fit like it was suppose to, but it’s an awkward garment. The chest part kept sliding back between his legs. The straps would have absolutely left pressure sores and rubs.Durability: not sure, I put it on at bedtime and it was off by breakfast. It would have definitely required frequent care given the fact he had to pee through it.Great idea, but no cigar.

Must have if your horse will tolerate it
It’s going to slip sometime before your horse’s sores are cleared up. So, if he will panic with it around his legs, don’t get it. Mine didn’t panic, but he did rip it up during the night. So, have extras on hand. And monitor him to make sure he’s willing to pee through it. They can, but some won’t. It definitely needs a fly sheet with snug surcingles to help keep it in place. We used it in conjunction with Swat on the effected area. I know this doesn’t sound like the start of a 5 star review, but I absolutely credit it with my horse’s healing because the horse next door doesn’t like his and his sores keep getting re-infected and mine healed in 3 weeks. Maybe less. I waited 3 weeks to have the vet come check. I can’t describe what a relief that check-up was.

I really wanted these to work! Purchase 2, one for each of my mares and both were lost in the first 8 hours, still haven’t found 1 out in my field. They do not stay on! I had them adjusted really well and thought they would last but nope. A complete waste of money, sadly. Ended up buying Horsewear brand fly sheets with belly guards and they’ve worked amazing!

Would be best for mares the sheath area is not very long and when dropped caused irritation
