I love how user friendly this is. I almost passed on it till I read the instructions. It’s so easy to install and remove, which is great since I always need to repair or replace screens. We have a part time cat who can be very indecisive about whether he wants to be in or out. He hasn’t mastered our interior cat doors, but I think his impatience when he wants to come or go will motivate him to figure this one out. It is also perfect if I ever get around to building a window entrance catio! In addition to my own cat, I am a full time dog sitter, so being able to lock the door to keep the pups in when they’re here is perfect for me as well.Honestly even if our cat never learns to use it, I’m still happy to have it because it’s really cute.

Better than propping the door open.
This was very simple to put together, but it was definitely easier with two people. The instructions were easy to follow. I did take the screen door off the hinges and installed the cat door with the screen laying on a flat surface. That was easiest for me. They give you a few extra screws, too. The magnets are very strong and takes a little push to get the cat door to swing open. My cats did not take to it on their ow, so I will need to train them. I had been propping the door open, which wears down the spring over time, so this is a nice solution. Now, I just have to get them to use it on their own. Itâs well-made and looks cute.

Love this item. Round instead of square but itâs too small for my boxer . Wish the vendor made bigger ones.

Strong magnet to keep door closed
The screendoor cat door is fairly simple to install. Separating the front and back pieces were the most difficult after removing from the box and bag. It was easier to install or rather cut the screen hole with having a second person, just to keep the door part closed even with the lock on. It has a very strong magnet to keep it closed and a little difficult for my 6lb cat to open. It is well made and durable and as she gets use to this door, hopefully she will be able to use it more freely and not with our assistance. For a bigger or heavier cat, using the door with the strong magnet and one use to using a pet door, I don’t see this as an issue. I also hope that over time of repeated use it does not tear the main screen with the weight and movement.
