Great for cats
This gate was very easy to install, and seems sturdy. Itâs great value for the cost. I originally got this to prevent a family members dog from entering my cats room to give her a chance to hide, and she was able to use the little door perfectly.

Stress lifesaver
I was separating our special needs cat from being scared by our 2 dogs. I was getting very tired of needing to go in and out of my bedroom. When I seen this I thought this was the perfect product. It gives my cats a chance to venture out and if does not feel safe they can go back into their safe area. I really really love the ease of walking through and keeping the dogs out. I recently purchased the COMOMY 29.5-48.4″ Baby Gate with Adjustable Cat Door for this 29.5â walkway, and Iâm glad I did. It looks just like the pictures, and I love the sleek black designâit fits perfectly with my decor.The cat door is exactly what I was looking for, and I appreciate how easy it was to set up. The packaging was straightforward, and I would say itâs pretty much perfect for a baby gate as well if you have a little one who isnât climbing on things. For adults, itâs easy to operate, and my cats (one is smaller, one is a bit bigger) seem to love this cat door to move from room to room without worrying about the dogs bugging them.The only downside Iâve noticed is that my two dogs (a golden retriever and a standard poodle, both around 55-60 pounds) pushed it down once. I might need to look into some additional securing measures for that.Overall, Iâm really happy with this gate! Both my cats love it, and it has been a great addition to my home.

Does not mount properly
This is by far the worst of the several baby gates that I’ve bought for my pets. Having installed many such gates (it’s generally quite obvious and easy), I couldn’t understand whe this wasn’t staying in place. When I could get it mounted, the pressure was not sufficient to get the gate to close. I tried it in two different doorways. I even had a friend come over for a sanity check. He has two toddlers and has installed more of these than I have. He experienced tbe same challenge.My recommendation is to buy tbe far superior Carlson product.

Just what we needed
Sturdy, heavy metal. I like the textured finish vs a shiny smooth finish. The self-closing door is nice, especially when your hands are full. Fairly easy to install, possible with 1 person, but easier with 2. One extension piece was needed to fit across the stair entrance. I did buy extra foot pad pieces to give the tension bars more surface area on the wall. We purchased the gate to keep the dogs downstairs to give the cat some peace upstairs while pet sitting 2 extra dogs. The cat door is great for allowing kitty to venture thru.
