C&S Songbird Snak is an innovative seed cake that is held together with gelatin and mixed with the finest nuts, seeds, and Peanut Suet Nuggets. This snak creates less mess, less waste, and is longer lasting than regular wild bird seed mixes. It would be a great addition to your backyard buffet resulting in successful “Year Round” wild bird feeding. Wild Bird Suet is traditionally fed in vinyl – coated wire cages. They are inexpensive and durable. Wire dimensions vary depending on how starling or squirrel resistant you want your feeder to be. The cages, or baskets, hold from 1 – several C&S Suet Cakes or Bricks. The cages may be hung from branches, tree trunks, or hooks. There are also several designs available combining wire with wood or plastic.

Exactly what you’d expect
Can get a little crumbly. But I also like that because it let’s me break it in half because the chipmunks eat more than the birds! Not eating the flavor feature because I haven’t tasted….

Good food
This bird food is good fir my wild birds and a occasional squirrel. Many types of birds go for these food bricks.

Good, but falls apart
The birds love it, but like many others have already mentioned, as soon as you open the bag, there is a great deal of loose seed that is wasted and falls on the ground. It might be time to switch to another brand!

Price is good, but
Great price for a 6 pack of 2lb seed blocks but the blocks only last a little over a day. The block are not real solid and when you open a block the corners fall off and there ends up with a lot of loose seed. The birds love the seeds in the block, the bluejays go crazy on it. So if you don’t mind going though 6 blocks a week, the birds won’t mine at all. If the block lasted longer I would’ve gives 5 Stars.

The wild birds visiting the feeders just love these blocks
I have two different types of snack blocks out for the bird visitors. This block is by far their favorite.

Not all birds will eat suet seed from a cage!
I personally didn’t taste it; however, I smashed it up with a rubber mallot & put it in a platform feeder. All birds eat it now! Sorry…no video!

Would be good if
The bird seed cakes would be great if the seeds would hold together like their suet cake does. Two of the cakes were broken and like a bag of seeds. First rain and it will be gone! C&S the manufacturer should read there reviews. Thanks

I personally like buying them in quantity, less running to the store.
