No i dont use it for horse hoofs. i use it for shaping guitar necks. maple mostly. some oak.it works pretty good. really digs in and grinds out some wood. i just wish it came with a freaking handle. which i had to go figure out separately. but over all its a gooooood rasp. im getting another one if mine ever goes dull

Wonderfully useful tool for wood (or horse hooves)!
I managed to break my old one that I’d had since I was a kid. I’m pleased with the quality of this new one!

Not too bad for the price
I do woodworking, and I got this to replace my old one which was getting dull. The fine side and the edges are much sharper than my old one and cut well, so that’s good. However, the coarse side does not seem to be as sharp as my old one, and the teeth on that side are cut crookedly so they don’t reach the edge in some places (see picture). Considering that it was much cheaper than any other and included free shipping, I’m not going to complain. As they say, you get what you pay for.
