Holds an Edge Decent, Easy to Sharpen
I had to start trimming my horses feet due to my farrier dropping off (and no farrier wants to travel for one horse and a mini). If you find yourself in a similar situation… invest in your tools. And a good sharpener. Far better than the “emergency” hoof knife I had before.

    Does the job
I recently started learning to self trim as unfortunately farriers / trimmers are hard to come by in my area, especially good ones. This could be a little sharper but so far it is of quality and worth it over all. Nothing a little sharping can’t fix!

    Great product for the price
Easy to use, helps keep the bars on my horses feet level.

    Not professional quality
This knife is decent enough for owner use but is not professional quality. It does not hold a sharp edge for long and the blade is semi flexible making it difficult to use on hard hooves.

Fine knife, blade a bit more narrow than I prefer
There is nothing really wrong with this knife. It was sharp enough right out of the box but would probably be better with a quick sharpening before use. I used it successfully on my horse, just, having been so used to a knife with a heftier blade, this one makes me hesitant to really “dig in there” when needed, because the blade is on the narrower side.

    Hoof knife
I ordered this knife because it is shorter than the 1st one I ordered. Didn’t really know the came in different lengths but this one being shorter works alot better. I would think the length would be a preference but it does keep a good edge on it and I like it better.

    Not sharp
Tried to use it first day and had to sharpen it myself.
