Finally, a cat door for interior door without any hassles or a dog proof cat feeding station solution that your cat will love.
✅ SIMPLE & EFFECTIVE INSTALLATION – A tool-free pet door lock that’s simple and works! The 3M adhesive sticks to your door & door frame, the adjuster allows you to keep the door cracked open just enough to suit your cat’s width, and finally lock the hook into the latch. For extra motivated dogs, install on the back of door for a stronger hold.

Smart and simple!
This works amazing and its just such a simple but effective fix. My catâs food and box is in my office but she is too old for me to put the food up high out of our dogâs reach, so its has to be on the ground where the dog can poach it. This allows the cat in and keeps the dog out and the bumper makes sure the door doesnât shut. Works perfectly and well made!

Gets the job done
Gave my cats their own bedroom because letâs face it, I am not ever going to use a home gym. This lets them go in and out as they please without having to cut and holes in anything, while also keeping the dog out. Took a few seconds to set up. Looks great. Not an eyesore and hardly notice it.

Keep the dog out
Best solution to keep out our dog from eating the catâs food. Easy to use and works great.

Excellent product
Absolutely perfect for keeping a door slightly open for a pet to walk in & out through. We used it everyday multiple times a day for 2 &1/2yrs. It was very easy to install, adjustable & really sticks well to a door & wooden frame. Removal was not that easy & stripped the paint off but was very much worth it for the privacy from a bedroom to the rest of the house. We kept it after moving & will use it again in the future if need be.

Doesnât hold up to a big dog
I really wanted this work, itâs an excellent idea and Iâm sure it works great if it is a toddler that you are trying to keep out. But it didnât hold up to my Labrador retriever. I first tried the version where you install the door buddy prop but my dog chewed up the plastic. Then I tried the strap and set it high up out of his reach, but the adhesive wasnât strong enough to keep him out. Still looking for a solution!Edit: the company reached out to me and sent me paint protectors to make the adhesive stick better. Trying them out now! Good customer service. I added a star

Exactly What I Needed!
The Door Buddy is exactly what I needed for my apartment! I have two doors now with a Door Buddy installed where the product is serving two different purposes. The first is the bathroom door where the litter box is located. It’s perfect to keep my nosy Labrador out of the litter box and give my cat her deserved privacy. After installation when he would still try to follow my cat into the bathroom and pushed against the door, the Door Buddy held strong. The removal door stopper is great for when guests or I use the bathroom and want to completely shut the door for our privacy.I recently purchased a second Door Buddy because my cat has taught herself to open bifold doors to access where I store their food. In this second installation, I was able to tighten the included strap to keep her out of the closet while I’m quickly able to remove the latch to access it. However, you could easily install the Door Buddy to allow for your cat to enter through a bifold door if that was your desire.I’ve recommended this product to multiple people by word of mouth, but I wanted to do so here because of how well it’s worked for my pets and me. My original Door Buddy to the bathroom door has survived a cross-country move and reinstallation in a new bathroom. It was simple to remove without leaving marks and quick to reinstall with 3M stickers. A Door Buddy is 100% worth your money!

Great product for keeping cats out too!
Fabulous product! I bought this specifically to keep my cat out of my room not realizing itâs intended to allow cats to go in rooms and not dogs/babies lol BUT the strap is so adjustableI was able to adjust it specifically to keep my cat out and it has made my life so much easier! No more kitty pushing the door open!

This thing is AMAZING
Backstory: For the last year and a half we’ve just kept Chicken’s litter box in the bathtub of our main bathroom (99% of the time we just use the 3/4 bathroom attached to our bedroom since it’s just the two of us, and due to the Global Panorama it’s not like we’ve had a lot of company that would need to use the shower in there anyway, so it’s been a pretty good solution). He doesn’t spray or “miss” the box at all, but he IS a digger – for which we are very grateful, because he does an excellent job at burying his poops, which definitely keeps the smell down. BUT, because he likes digging/burying so much, he often ends up with a bunch of extra/loose litter…so I sealed up the drain in the tub (Glad Press ‘n Seal is good for SO much more than just leftovers in your fridge) to make sure nothing ended up in the pipes, and bam, easy peasy litter containment.HOWEVER, now that my partner and I have both received our second dose of vaccine, and my parents several states away have ALSO received both of their doses, they’ve decided that they’re going to make the drive over and stay with us for a week or two. We’re all pretty excited, because it’s been over a year since we’ve seen each other, and eventually video chats just don’t cut it anymore! We didn’t really want them having to come into our bedroom to get to the bathroom to shower while they’re here, so it was time to find a new home for the litterbox. The dogs are well behaved, and know the litterbox isn’t for them, so we weren’t concerned necessarily with that part of the relocation, but the room we decided to move it in to did have some other boxes, storage, ammunition, hunting/camping gear/supplies that we didn’t want to risk them getting in to, so we started looking at cat doors/flaps for interior doors…and they were either more expensive than we wanted to spend or they required a lot more cutting/construction/installation work than we really had the time for right now. Which is why we settled on this contraption. We got two, one for the room where Chicken’s new setup was going to be, and also one for our bedroom (we sleep in our birthday suits, and all three of the animals sleep with us, so while we weren’t concerned about the dogs being “locked in” the room with us every night, we did want to make sure the cat could come and go as he needed to, without leaving our door wide open, because let’s face it, nobody’s parents want to see their adult kid and kid’s partner nakey every night, so…They took all of 30 seconds to “install”, and they work exactly as advertised. No clumsy or finnicky clips/latches to fight with when coming into or going out of a room. Literally just drop the pin/hook end into the receiver/hole piece to “lock” it, and lift it up/out to open it. The plastic is thick and sturdy. the strap and buckle are high quality and look pretty nice (better than plain old nylon type material). The foam piece to stop the door from being able to close completely is firm and has a nice “grip” on the door so it doesn’t slide around or fall down.Overall this was an excellent buy, and I’m glad I got two of them right away. I’m also glad we didn’t have to take the time to cut holes in our doors, because now if we ever need to change the location of the litterbox again in the future and we need/want to keep the cat out of that room, we still have the ability to close the door (whereas one of the more inexpensive cat flaps would have basically created a permanent entryway for him since the “cheap” options don’t have locks/latches).Highly recommended!

I bought the door buddy with the latch plus door stopper and I have to say? This is the best invention ever! :)I have lived with baby gates for decades to keep my 2 pugs out of the litter box/cat food dishes. When they passed away, I took the gates down and my hips breathed a sigh of relief. Nine months later, I adopted another adult dog. I certainly didn’t want to have to re-introduce the baby gates if I didn’t need to and our female cat (now 17 years old) certainly didn’t need the added stress and physical mobility to be able to jump up and over the baby gate to toilet! The first week after adoption, I didn’t put up any barriers and I was thrilled; the puggle didn’t seem at all interested in the cats, their food, litter, etc. I assumed that his GI issues were just a result of him “settling” into his new home. I was wrong. One very sneaky and SICK dog was feasting in the litter box daily. After multiple (failed) attempts to create a solution myself, I went online to see what solutions were available. When I found door buddy, I truly didn’t know if something so simple would work. If I’m being honest, it also seemed like a lot of $ for what I was receiving…I installed one in a utility closet that I have converted to the, “litter room” (hinges on the right; pulls open). The dog can’t get in! He chased the cat down the hallway and followed her right up to the door and just stopped. Didn’t even attempt it! Are you kidding me? How many decades did I HATE the baby gates and this tiny solution *fixed* the problem! This week, I found the dog eating the cat kibble (currently in the workout room) and *peeing* on my treadmill bed… gggrrr. I quickly ordered a second door buddy with latch stopper for this door (hinges on left; pushes open)? It installed just as quickly and it keeps him out.Did I spend $60? Yep. Is it worth it/wonderful/am I happy? Absolutely. When I think about how many $100s of dollars that I spent on baby gates that hindered movement and caused me physical pain every time I straddled them? Combine that with hours of sick dog and the time/energy spent cleaning up after him? SO worth it!For the couple of negative reviews on here (and the reasons cited for the device not working), I might respectfully suggest that you check out the webpage for alternate installations. I used the method that the website recommended was the most durable and it has worked for both style doors. I also read a comment about a cat who didn’t fit through the hole left between the doors. I have a large male cat who is also VERY skittish. I truly worried that he would be so afraid of the small entry that he might not use it. So I installed with the largest gap possible to allow him to feel safe that he could enter/exit. Day one, I didn’t latch it, I just used the stopper that prevents the door from closing. The next day, I hooked the latch on the widest setting. Next day, I modified it so the gap was narrower. My large cat fit easily through the hole and the medium dog didn’t (I included a pic of dog/cat for size comparison). On the second door, I just measured the same distance I used on the first door, adjusted the band and the cat easily went through on the first go.Low profile, aesthetically pleasing, easy to install. Genius invention. THANK YOU!

Exactly what I needed to keep the dog out but stop the cat from closing himself in.

Quick to apply. Itâs giving the cat a safe place from the puppy! Less expensive and easier than a baby gate. Love it!
