These are not your average mealworms,
Iâve bought hundreds of pounds of mealworms in my lifetime and I can honestly say that these mealworms stand out. These dried worms are considerably larger and more intact than all the other brands Iâve been buying. I suspect the cardboard box packaging helps to prevent the contents from getting broken into pieces. This was the first package of dried mealworms I’ve bought that had a desiccant pack in it to keep moisture out. Between the competitive pricing and the quality of these worms, I’ll be buying them again as long as the price is right.EDITED 1/17/25. I opened a shipment of mealworms I had been keeping in cold storage in our garage for the past month and noticed an unknown white substance throughout the worms clumping them loosely together. I initially thought they were moldy or had been infested with some sort of bug and was wary of feeding them to wildlife. Once the box warmed up indoors the white was gone. I suspect fats from the dehydrated worms had congealed on the surface of the worms in the cold. Birds love them.

I feed these to all my birds from newly hatched chicks to ducks and geese. They all love it and the worms are whole not ground up bits. It is a good price as well.

My Bluebirds Love Them
I like feeding all the wild birds but since the Eastern Bluebirds do not favor seeds and nuts, wanted to get them something to eat for the winter. They always seem left out. I have at least a half a dozen Bluebirds waiting to eat every morning. Although these meal worms may seem pricey, they are a far better value than buying them by one or two pound bags. These should last me well into the spring.
