Exo Terra Glass Terrarium Reptile Kit is the ideal amphibian or reptile enclosure designed by European herpetologists. The reptile habitat’s front doors allow easy access for maintenance and feeding. A specially designed lock will prevent escape and the doors can be opened separately. The full screen top ventilation allows UVB reptile light and infrared penetration and is completely removable for easy access while decorating or cleaning. In the back of the screen cover are 5 closable wire or tube inlets on both sides to install Heat Wave reptile rocks, reptile waterfalls, sensors, etc. inside the terrarium. The bottom plate of the reptile tank is raised to mount a substrate reptile heater to heat a part of the extended ground surface. The extra high fixed front window is ideal for thick layers of reptile substrates or reptile bedding (burrowing reptiles), reptile aquarium parts (Paludarium) or to mount a reptile hide den. The natural reptile background is the same color as other Exo Terra reptile decor items and provides a reptile climbing dimension. This reptile cage terrarium is 12 x 12 x 12 inches (30 x 30 x 30 cm). Exo Terra has designed and developed a wide range of reptile accessories, terrarium decor, and terrariums for a variety of reptiles and amphibian pets, including bearded dragons, geckos, snakes, crested geckos, turtles, chameleons, leopard geckos, lizards, and frogs. Some of the reptile supplies include: reptile heat lamps, reptile heating pads, reptile thermostats, reptile humidifiers, reptile mister, reptile thermometer, reptile water bowls, reptile Fogger, reptile lights, reptile heat bulbs, reptile plants (fake plants), reptile vines, reptile tank accessories, reptile tank decor, reptile heat mat, reptile lamps, reptile tweezers, reptile hides and caves, reptile food, reptile calcium, reptile light fixtures, reptile basking lights, reptile caves, reptile feeding tongs, reptile food dishes, reptile dropper, and reptile starter kits.

    Great quality, HIGHLY recommended.
I bought the small tall exo terra terrarium planning to get an arboreal (climbing) gecko. I ended up getting the cheaper, easier leopard gecko which is a non arboreal species so it did not need the height this terrarium provides, but despite my changed decision this terrarium is still an amazing house for my pet. here is a list of pros and consPROS Great ventilation system in the sides and top allowing fresh air to enter the terrarium freely Durable screen top made of metal that can support a heat light and any other things you need to keep out of the way. Quality glass doors that do not wiggle whatsoever and have a solid lock at the bottom. (they also have holes for a combination lock to fit through) Top panel includes a wire escape incase you need a humidifier or any other thing that has a cord that allows you to run the wires through small holes in the top (these holes are too small for any live food to escape through) Background looks great and makes the enclosure look neat and tidy Bottom section under the vents is water proof which is great for amphibians Has small support legs allowing you to stick heating pads to the bottom if needed. Is very spacious and allows for a multitude of decoration options. The design looks soooooo nice and the doors are just something you find with other brands. (looks the best if you clean it regularly) Shipping was good and package came on time with absolutely zero damageCONS The terrarium does not hold humidity well. (this problem can be fixed with an electric humidifier.) Background is made out of Styrofoam which may be a problem for some people Can be hard to find a floor mat to fit these dimensions This terrarium is pretty heavy and I would suggest you put it on a sturdy surface and not too high up (if this fell on someone it could be bad)overall this is a very high quality terrarium and is completely worth the money. Some accessories that you’ll need to come along with this are mat/substrate, food and water dishes, heat lamp, decorator plants, vitamin supplements to sprinkle on your pets food, thermometer and humidity gauge, source of humidity (depending on your pet) and a heating pad (optional but recommended). My gecko loves this place (I think) and has never had any problems with it. Compared to terrariums I have had in the past this is the BEST ONE BY FAR. In some of my past terrarium experiences I’ve had problems with cracks and precipitation build up, this was not a problem with exo terra. Exo Terra has not disappointed and I will continue to by their products.A few last recommendations would be to settle on a pet before you buy and do your research to know what size and shape is best for your pet (Exo Terra is always a safe option if you want something you know is going to last)

    Great terrarium
This is a well-designed, quality terrarium. From the feet at the base to the screened cover, everything about this terrarium is great. The doors open up nice and wide, and you can just open up one or the other to keep your critter inside. You can easily reach every corner of the terrarium through the doors. The cover comes off easily, but when locked in place is nicely secure. Air flow seems good, not too much, not too little. The background is just a piece of painted/coated styrofoam. I initially thought I would take it out and do something different for the background, but it actually doesn’t look bad and my gecko likes to climb on it. It being styrofoam is actually a bonus because it’s easy to work with. I attached some plant pots to it, and it was easy to cut into to set those, so it worked out.Overall this is a well-made, well-designed enclosure. Highly recommended, even if you dump the background and use something else.

Look no further for your Crested Gecko!
I heard that this is everyone’s favorite terrarium for housing crested geckos so as a first-time crested gecko owner, I bought it and needless to say…I love it! Here are some important aspects of this product:1. Waterproof bottom – this was important to me because crested geckos need a humid environment and I new I would be putting in a false bottom/drainage layer in mine. After a week of watering the plants and misting the whole tank on a daily basis, there are no leaks.2. Humidity – it holds the humidity pretty well even with the screen ceiling. The humidity in my tank is currently reading at 70% even though I misted it 4 hours ago. Right now I am misting down the whole tank 1-2 times a day. If I put plastic wrap or bubble wrap over half of the ceiling it would probably hold the humidity even better but right now I can’t complain so why change?3. Escape-proof – trust me, the critters won’t get out. Not even small insects like crickets or dubia roaches can escape.4. Light but sturdy ceiling – it’s some kind of metal or aluminum screen and my gecko hangs upside-down from it constantly but it hasn’t broken. I even used fishing line to hang a coconut hide (from the ceiling’s central bar for support) and it has held up perfectly. It’s also completely removable and is locked into place with sliding locks.5. Glass – To keep the glass clean and free from calcium/mineral deposits I only use distilled or filtered water on the tank and in my mister. This stuff is cheap and I get gallons of it for 39 cents at the local grocery store.6. Nice ‘n tall – Tall enough so that even with a drainage layer and Eco Earth on top of that, there is still plenty of space in the tank for my gecko to climb.7. Front-opening glass doors – Crested Geckos (and I’m sure other types of geckos too) get spooked easily, especially when you reach in to grab them from above. Being able to reach in from the front is a life-saver, not just for handling the gecko but for setting up/planting/and maintenance in the tank as well! Both doors don’t even have to be open at the same time. You can keep one shut and one open.8. Raised bottom – if for some reason you had to heat the tank, you could put a heat mat underneath the tank with the raised bottom. I shouldn’t have to do that with my crested gecko, however. This winter I will probably consider getting a bar/fixture to hang a heat-emitting bulb from above the tank.9. Background – honestly, I was kind of expecting more from this background when I saw the pictures of this tank online. It looks like it could be made from plastic or some other sturdier material but it is just styrofoam. I’m not sure if there is sealant on it or not but it seems to absorb any water that is misted on it. It is still beautiful even in person but just not the kind of material I was expecting. My gecko seems to stick to it just fine with humidity at the proper levels but if the tank were to dry out, the gecko would probably have trouble sticking to it. I will probably take everything out of the tank in order to build my own background next year.10. Weight of the tank – don’t let its size (small-tall) fool you; this tank is pretty robust and it’s not easy for one person to carry by themselves, especially up stairs. Don’t expect to be moving this tank around very much once you get it. Find a place to keep it, set it up, and try to move it as little as possible. I knew it wouldn’t be light but I also didn’t realize it would be so heavy unfilled either. I don’t want to know how heavy it is now that it’s set up and planted but at least it’s not as heavy as an aquarium of the same size with water weighing about 10 lbs per gallon!Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect terrarium for my crested gecko. My complaints are very minor in the grand scheme of things. Customize it any way you like and have fun creating a paradise for your pet. This tank is sturdy, versatile, and has become a beautiful centerpiece in my home 🙂

These exo terra enclosures are great for our tarantulas. Many sizes to pick from, all latch nicely and have holes for locks not included. We have purchased most locally but the 12x12x12 is hard to come by and Amazon has it in stock quite often so we keep getting them as they are delivered fast in a sturdy 2 box package.
