Keep your horse looking his best with the Farnam Slick ‘N Easy Horse Grooming Block. This fiberglass tool allows you to transform your horse’s coat in minutes by quickly removing dirt, dust and hair, leaving him or her slicker and shinier. This easy to use tool allows you to help shed out your horse’s winter coat by gently, yet firmly, scraping the block over your entire horse’s coat. The block works to trap hair fibers an gently sweep away top and undercoat fibers. It is also great between baths to dust away debris and lingering dirt. One block can groom up to 12 horses, so it’s an efficient and economical tool to keep at the stable. To use, just remove the branded wrapper and hold Slick’ N Easy by one of its long edges. Scrape your horse’s coat vigorously in rapid, short strokes and watch the magic happen. After several uses, your Slick ‘N Easy Grooming Block will develop rounded edges. To restore to a sharp edge, rub the long edge on concrete (flat sidewalk, block wall) or any similar abrasive surface.

Slick block review
I have several horses and I have used several items to groom hair, especially in spring when the heavy shed occurs. Now I find these blocks work exceptional well without the harsh tips of the traditional curry combs. I find them easy to handle and I am even able to pull not fly eggs off easily! Highly recommend these.

An Effective And Reasonably Priced Grooming Tool For Irish Wolfhounds
We have a friend who breeds horses and Irish Wolfhounds. When she visited us last weekend she showed us how an IWH is really supposed to look, trimming the excess hair, raking out the top coat, and grooming the dogs using this SLICK N’ EASY horse grooming tool. This grooming block is especially useful in removing loose hair on the legs and bellies and also great as a last brushing effort over the whole coat. No pain for the dogs, easy for the user, and constructed to last longer than its $3.87 price tag would lead you to believe.Often times in my life I have discovered that a tool/product good for one project also lends itself perfectly to another task. This is one of those cases.

Bought this for car detailing and carpet
I heard this item worked well for getting cat and dog hair out of carpets and it would be good for stuff like car detailing and so on. It does actually work quite well for this application, with a few caveats. First, don’t use it on thin carpets – it’s like a really rough sandpaper block (lava rock) and it can easily put a hole in thin carpet. With that being said, also be careful around any plastic areas in a car because it will scratch them up if you aren’t careful with it. However, on thick carpeted areas, it works really well pulling up embedded hair and works wonders when combined with a good vacuum. Because it is kind of like a rough sandpaper/lava rock type material, it does shed little sandy type bits, but those are easily vacuumed up.

Great tool for Dog Grooming – Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Just got a bunch of new tools for brushing and grooming my 2 Blenheim CAVALIER KING CHARLES Spaniels. I watched a video on YouTube and it recommended several tools that are now game changers. She recommended this pumice stone to finish off the brushing session and capture any loose hairs. It works great, see photos! You just blow the hair off and it resets. The only critique is that the pumice sheds a little pumice dust but I am assuming that will go away after a few uses and it’s still a great product that I would highly recommend for Cavalier owners or dogs with similar coats.

Great for Dogs too!
Best brush I’ve found for my Great Dane! This brush is rough and scrapes all the dead hair and skin off my big gentle giant! My Dane looks great and his fur has improved soooooo much since I’ve been using this on him once a week! It is very easy to use and easy to clean too (I just rinse it with hot water to clean it each time I brush my pup). I’d recommend this brick of a brush to anyone! Especially for short haired dogs!

Buy One for Your Home, Too!
What works great on shedding horse hair also works to remove pet hair from upholstery. FWIW, don’t be surprised as the edges wear away. That’s how it works.

A bit rough and crumbles too easy
I liked the price… it was pretty affordable considering shipping was included. The rough edges tore up the packaging just that little that I was wondering what all the charcoal looking powder was what was all over it. It needs to be in something additional to the shrinkwrap it comes in. It is, indeed pretty rough and I got the side eye from my horse when using it. However, he accepted it (that’s a stamp of approval in a way, right there), and as it gets worned down a bit, he should like it better. It does what it says. I read somewhere it would be good for removing bot flies, so I might try it for that should the need arise.

I used this on horses growing up and loved it, so when I got a dog with a short coat but major shedding I thought I’d try it on him. I was not disappointed! Wayyyyy more gentle than a furburator (it left horrible scratches on my dogs skin), but just as effective at getting the loose hair out, and a great price. A couple tips: use on clean, dry fur – any dirt will clog the pores of the pumice. When pores inevitably do get clogged, tap out the dust and grime rather than scraping – you will lose less of the pumice doing this. Also note that this can be a messy job – fur and tiny pieces of the pumice will start flying, so its definitely an outdoor job, and I always finish with a nice brushing with a stiff bristled brush.

I didnât have high hopes, it seemed crumbly and weird to use for bot flies considering the alternative and main stream use is a knife. Bot flies are notoriously sticky but this whisked them away with no problem! I started off pressing really firmly and my horse let me know that wasnât necessary, I eased up and it worked like a charm!
