Better than a competitor!
I retired recently and started taking 3 walks a day. I have 3 dogs ranging from 15 to 90 lbs & each dog gets 1 walk per day. My old Flexi leash is 20+ years old and wasn’t designed for large dogs so I opted to buy a replacement. There are so many options with a range in prices. Initially, I opted for a brand (not this one) that also makes other pet items and the brand name was familiar to me. That leash only lasted 5 months until it locked permanently and I had to throw it away. I will compare this new leash to the known brand which I had to throw away.Immediately, this leash felt sturdy, with a nice weight in my hand. The other brand felt cheap, lightweight, and flimsy.This leash strap pulls in and out with ease as my dogs run around & explore. The other leash felt flimsy as it pulled in and out and I questioned when it would stop retracting. (The old leash permanently locked itself after only 5 months of use.)The button to stop the leash and release it is comfortable to push and release as I control my dogs while walking. Someone’s review said the button was awkward, which I found the opposite to be true. Also, my other leash kept auto-locking when the dogs jerked it or I pulled quickly due to an upcoming hazard. Auto-locking is unsafe and you lose control right when you need it. This leash’s button pushes and releases naturally to give you the control exactly when you need it. It seems sturdy and long-lasting. The other one kept auto-locking until it auto-locked permanently after only 5 months of use. I haven’t used the lock on this leash as I rarely find that feature necessary. I only use an extendable leash when I want to allow my dogs freedom to run, but still be safe. I use a regular leash / lead for more controlled situations (groomer, vet’s office, etc.).If you have a chewer, this leash does come with a short extension that is chew-proof to attach at the end of the leash. I haven’t used it as I don’t need it, but it certainly would come in handy with a new puppy learning to walk on a leash.I’ve only used it for 5 walks so far, but I really feel it’ll last.

So far so good!
My Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) is a puller. Heâs a couple years old now & about 65lbs, and weâd been using a harness on him for over half his lifetime, but it definitely didnât help his pulling, and in fact, I ended up losing my engagement ring from all his pulling trying to get at the ducks in the park, I managed to keep from tumbling onto my butt, but in the process my engagement ring slipped off, never to be seen again (BUT good thing my fiancé bought insurance on it and itâs currently being replaced ðð𥰠). So I started looking into other types of leashes, and lo and behold, I stumbled onto this little beauty, and I am so glad I did! He canât pull NEARLY as badly as he could in the harness (which baffles me, as I thought surely something going around his back and neck would allow for better control, but NOPE). And I can let it all the way out when we walk through fields so he has room to explore, but still on the leash. This leash is AMAZING so far. Only had occasion to use it few times so far, but itâs worked like a charm. It seems to be well constructed and durable, and I have complete control and confidence when walking him that he canât just bolt or takeoff like he could with the harness. The color blue is a great blue (yes, I like color coordinating his items, and blue is definitely his colorð) length is great, the handle is sturdy, doesnât feel cheap, but doesnât feel heavy, bulky or cumbersome either. And I LOVE the retractability of it! I anticipate the durability will be pretty good, but will come back and update if this turns out NoT to be the case. But for now, TWO THUMBS UP!!! ð

Great Product
This is a great leash. Mine just broke after 4 years of at least 3 walks a day with a very active Yorkie. I think that is more than could be asked of it. I will be buying another to replace it.

Good leash
This is a great leash for small to medium dog. My dog is 33lbs and super strong. Itâs a great leash but it broke after almost 2 years. I think it was totally worth it for $16.

Game Changer!
Wow! what a difference this makes over a bungee leash! For the first time, both I and my dog had a stress-free walk. In fact, my dog was so relaxed that most of the time, he walked right beside me. I have just received this item and just went for our first walk but I am very pleased with its build quality and operation. I feel most of the reviewers will realize that if they keep it oriented / directed towards the dog they will experience a smooth, reliable, and tangle-free retraction and it will also increase its longevity. See the pictures I have uploaded to further understand what I have just said.Of course, it goes without saying that if it breaks or malfunctions in any way I will be back with an update. For now I am very happy with it ðð¼

This is the second time I have purchased this item. The first one lasted a year with the retractable leash failing , locking unexpectedly, poor quality in the long term. So I bought a new one because I do like the way it looks⦠reflective unit â , clean white color. But.. the retractable mechanism is poor again.. and this is on a new unit. Disappointedâ¦

Please DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT. My 16 week old small breed puppy had a near miss,because the lead came out of the retractable mechanism. I was horrified,lucky for us he was OK. I have got my money back,BUT MORE IMPORTANT, PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS,THE QUALITY SEEMS OK AT FIRST, BUT YOU COULD BE PUTTING YOUR BELOVED PET IN DANGER.

Excellent quality and well made. Bought vivid lime green one which is us useful when road walking. Stitching is fluorescent so can see it when out in the evenings.Very strong 5 meter leash good for large breed dogs.

Excellent retractable lead, has survived an ardent puller. Only thing is that the handle itself is quite small, which is fine for me as I have tiny hands, but my partner cannot fit their pinky in the handle.
