Perfect for My Turtle – A Natural and Safe Substrate
I recently started using Fluker’s Loose Coconut Fiber for my baby box turtle, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. This product is a must-have for anyone who has reptiles or amphibians, especially those like turtles who need a safe, natural substrate to thrive.Natural, Safe BeddingWhat I love about this coconut fiber is that it’s 100% natural and provides a safe environment for my turtle. It holds moisture well, which is important for creating the right humidity in his habitat. It also prevents odors, keeping the tank clean and fresh.Perfect for BurrowingTurtles love to burrow, and this coconut fiber provides a great texture that allows my turtle to dig and explore. It’s soft, yet firm enough for him to make little burrows, just like he would in the wild. It encourages his natural behaviors, which is always a win for me as a pet owner.Easy to Use and CleanThe fiber is easy to spread in his tank and doesn’t clump like some other bedding materials. It’s also incredibly easy to spot-clean, and when it’s time for a full tank clean, it’s simple to remove and replace. The bag lasts quite a while too, making it a cost-effective option for turtle owners.Great for Moisture RetentionCoconut fiber holds moisture really well, which helps maintain the humidity level in the tank. This is essential for my turtle’s health, and it helps prevent any dry spots in his habitat.Final Verdict: A Top Choice for Turtle OwnersIf you’re looking for a natural, safe, and effective bedding option for your turtle, Fluker’s Loose Coconut Fiber is definitely the way to go. It’s easy to use, great for humidity, and keeps my turtle happy and healthy.✔ Pros: Natural, safe, great for burrowing, moisture retention, easy to clean✘ Cons: None—this bedding is perfect for my turtle!Would I buy it again? Yes—this is my go-to substrate for my turtle’s tank!

    Large bag
Love that it wasn’t packed down. You don’t get as much as the packed down versions but not having to soak it is definitely a plus. It has lasted me a long time as it comes with a lot so definitely good value for money. It comes in a large bag but it is not resealable so keep that in mind. Once wet it smells like dirt and you can see the coconut fibers. Good quality. The photo I have has sphagnum moss on top so it may appear different.

    works great for ball pythons
I bought this for a ball python. It was better texture than the chips that had previously been in the tank for it.

not good if you’re using for sulcata enclosure
Very dry, dusty, and SO many hairs … doesn’t seem to retain moisture very well either / just turned muddy? Plus when I got it I literally was confused thinking it was a shirt or something inside the package- and surprised to open it up to the substrate i ordered . I got this on sale I believe so maybe this is why. i also orderd their reptabark/wood chip stuff and really liked it so ¯_(ツ)_/¯… just my honest review on this specific thing from them tho.

    Excellent for our need
We use this for bedding in our tortoise enclosure. I purchased quite a bit for when he goes into hibernation. It’s clean. I moisten it first then let it dry out. I like that its a cleaner bedding and lighter than dirt. Have used similar product for two years, this was very nice quality

Not 10lb bags, only 1.5lb bags
These are not 10 pound bags. They are approximately 1.5 pounds each. This is very misleading.
