Great bulb!
Perfect night time bulb for my hermit crabs! I live being able to watch them at night when they’re the most active and it adds a good amount of heat for them in their current 10gal home. I am about to dee how it does in a larger one soon!

Well worth the money, it works great. I live in Maryland in a single house my bedroom gets kind of chilly I leave this light bulb on 24/7. It is still working. I got the flukers thing that the bulb screws into it gets really hot but it works great. The sand is nice and warm I do keep the light away from the food and water like it says and my hermit crab is still living I’ve had this since before Thanksgiving

This light is perfect for a nighttime environment in your crab tank. It creates a light just slightly brighter than moonlight. Keeps the tank warm for my crabs and lasts a long time!

Didn’t last long, as other reviewers have said. No real benefit for hermit crabs. All its great for is to pretty much instantly zap your humidity levels. And if you’re into seriouslu providing great homes for these poor sweet very misunderstood babies, you will know what I mean. If you’re using for hermits, avoid this like the plague! I now use LED lights in my crabs’ enclosure for lighting and heat mats for heating now that I know exactly what hermit crabs need to thrive!

Not Just For Hermit Crabs
This keeps my geckos tank nice and warm, definitely not just for hermit crabs. I have the tank in my room and while the red light is nice for observation it is not so bright that I can’t sleep. Plus it is easier to sleep knowing that Jeremy (my gecko) is warm and comfortable.

Party time for the hermit crabs!
Our three hermit crabs LOVE this light! They come out, wander around and bask when we have it on. I think it may mess up their ability to see outside of the aquarium because they don’t seem to notice us approaching to watch them. They carry on with whatever even if we put our face up to the glass. In contrast, when their day light is on, they hide in their shells as soon as we’re three feet away from the aquarium.
