Water everywhere
This tank leaked all over the place. It was up and running for 6 weeks and then it gave out, even though regular maintenance was done. With more investigation, we found the bottom of the tank doesn’t hold up and the seal gave out. Choose a different brand.

Quiet pump, nice looking aquarium
This works really well because the included pump is reasonably quiet. I replaced another aquarium that had a very loud pump, and with this new one the fish is noticeably happier and more active.The only downside is that the water seems to evaporate faster than the old one did (the lid assumes youâre going to use the included light, I donât use the light so it leaves a big open space in the lid).

My betta seems to be happy
My betta seems to enjoy his aquarium. Definitely on the smaller side, he doesn’t seem to swim as much as he used to do in a 5 gal aquarium, but we had to find him his own space because he was hurting his tank mates. The water gets pretty warm (sometimes I wonder if too warm), and the light could be better, otherwise a very nice kit for beginners.The filtering system seems to work great, and our plants are growing rapidly with no algae issues.The lid is nice, but if you have curious cats, I recommend buying a made-to-measure grid cover for the opening (we got one from Etsy, see picture).

Poorly packaged
The tank is a pretty little tank, very streamline and clean. The problem for me was that the tank came broken. The lid was packaged underneath the tank. The tank is glass the lid is plastic so is the base. The lid was broken because the base was broken. The weight of the tank was sitting on the lid.

This is my third Fluval aquarium over the past few years. Iâve had a Fluval Flex 30 gallon saltwater and a Fluval Flex 15 gallon freshwater. I am essentially downsizing due to time and budget constraints, and this aquarium has been so easier to maintain. Iâve had it for three months, and I do a 50% water exchange weekly and follow Fluvalâs recommendations for other maintenance. It only takes me 10-15 minutes a week. Not a speck of algae, and my Betta is as happy as can be. I added a 2.5 inch polystyrene foam pad under the base to help support the glass, and mine was delivered in perfect condition. Love it!

Tank leaks beware
This is the second one we purchased as the first one we got a reasonable amount of time out of before it leaked. This one leaked right out of the box. It leaks where the filter outlet attaches to the plastic divider wall. It spurts water onto the top cover and it drips out down the side of the tank. Weâve twice had about 1.5 gallons + of water leak onto our daughterâs carpet. Weâve put shims in to make the connection tighter but over time everything just warps and the leak starts again. We also moved the cover to angle it so the water just falls back in the tank but it just sounds like a waterfall and is pretty annoying. Silicone would be a solution but every time you change the filter youâd have to redo it which really isnât practical. We did have to replace the filter motor on our original tank but was not too disappointed as it lasted a reasonable amount of time. Our fish definitely thrives in the tank and we like it hence why we bought a second. I was hoping the loose plastic connection was just a fluke but this one was worse than the first. We will put up with it for now but will be buying a different brand next time

A NICE little aquarium suitable for a Betts as stated. When I opens the box it came in, it was well packed I was pleasantly surprised looks good I thought and in one piece. Very easy to set up as well , put in my sand substrate and my small pieces of Dragon stone switched off on and run it for a couple of days to mature. On the third day I noticed that the temperature was only73 degrees and the water pump was not working at all completely solid ,as it’s a sealed unit you just can’t get inside it replaced turnpike with one I used it worked fine, the heater just would not to any higher , so replaced therewith one I already had and that present heater was stuck on74 degrees , the light worked fine on and the other moan that I have is the water pump and the heater come with a two pin plug so you will have to buy a shaver adaptor plug for them. Am I sending it back NO to much hassle, and I’m Lily having kept tropical fish for over 40+ years I have accumulated a vast amounting spares. The whole conception of this Betts aquarium is ok , but take a chance it’s up to you.

Product not only arrived late but also damaged. Plastic base is broken beyond usability, lid is cracked in 2 of 4 corners. Had to set up as my Betta needed a new home. Anxiously waiting to see if it will leak ð need to return and wait for refund. So disappointing â¹ï¸

This tank came with American plug fittings, clearly not intended for sale in the UK or Europe. There is no mention of this in the item description. Do not buy if UK based.
