Well worth the money – Flyfishing benefits greatly from knowledge and/or instruction.
This is my first and, as of yet, only fly fishing outfit. This combo is very capable. I caught a pond bluegill within my first 3 minutes of flyfishing. I then pulled out 3 more within about 45 minutes, all on one of the included flies in this package. My only gamefish to date is the 14″ Rainbow Trout in the included picture (don’t let the depth of field fool you, it was a nice size and I was elated). I’ve only river-fished with it twice.I am a complete novice at flyfishing. I have spent over 100 hours watching videos on the popular video websites by Mad River Outfitters, primarily, and by Orvis Flyfishing Schools. After months of trial and error, I am starting to feel like I know enough to be competent. From what I’ve learned:To start, when assembling your rod, start with the tip section and affix it to the mid section by starting 45 degrees off and then pushing it together and twisting until the line guides align. This is very important. you can jam it together as hard as you want, but if you don’t twist at the same time that you are pushing them together, your rod WILL come apart from the casting motion. I learned this in an MRO video.Second, the included flyline and leader don’t come with loops. You’ll need to either buy new ones, or learn how to tie a nail knot. I printed a nail knot jig on my 3D printer in order to affix my leader to my flyline. I am currently using a Scientific Anglers 6wt Weight-forward flyline and a RIO Fly Fishing Power flex-Plus 9′ 4X Fishing Leader (match the Flyline to your Rod and the Leader to the size of your flies, thanks Brian from MRO!).Third, if you try to learn your flycast on a pond, you’re going to “crud up” your fly line and it won’t shoot through the guides well at all. Buy a flyline cleaner/dressing kit to get your flyline to behave smoothly. It’s a lot easier to cast on still water when on a bank than in a river where your fly is drifting down the current and you’re trying to keep your balance on slippery rocks.Fourth, watch tons of videos on flycasting and flyfishing in general. They’ll teach you knots, how to set up your gear, how to use your gear, and how to find fish.Fifth, have fun. I catch a lot of pond fish while practicing my casts and will practice in my yard without a fly/hook tied to the end of the leader, just to get better at my casting techniques. Flyfishing is easy to do (just pick it up and then put it down) but takes a lot of knowledge and practice to do well. The enjoyment in the hobby is in the pursuit of mastering the skill.Happy fishing!

    Not bad at all
Welp start with the good i guess. Its 3 pieces i like that the case is good material and can nicely store the rod and reel and can accommodate a small tackle box and some extras. The reel seems of nice quality and looks good feels good, same goes for the pole itself i like the color the feel and the action on it although i have yet to use it i practiced with it outback to me it seems very nice for the price in my eyes as im new to this i wasnt looking to break the bank to end up not 1 being physical able to 2 not liking it lolOn to the not so fun stuff i had to spool the reel and tie the leader myself and adjust the leader as they just give you a bunch to work with and two flies like i said not so fun not bad just not fun all in all i think its a win for a beginner.

Costs $30…Great beginner rod/reel, fly line is garbage.
**update. Replaced the included line with a used weight-forward fly line I got from a buddy. Night and day difference! The fly line this comes with sucks, but you can still learn some basics with it. Would probably spend a little more for a cheapo kit with a proper WF fly line. ** Great beginner product for its price point. I’ve fished with it a couple times (total novice fly fisher). The kit does not come with backing, you will have to buy that to set it up properly. It seems to cast fine for beginner skill level. The flies that come with it are worthless, so plan on buying more (the hook snapped in half one one of them). Also had to disassemble the reel to adjust the drag mechanism enough to make it useable. Decent value for the money, nothing more or less than expected for $30.

I you have to get them reeled at a fishing store.
We bought 3 for a vacation. They were perfect, worked like they should, not complaints. You do have to get them reeled by a professional but other that that they are great

Good value, with a little user effort!
Overall, a fun start into fly fishing for me. I have caught 25 or so small fish with the two flies provided. I have these criticisms, which I bumped a star off for. First, there is no manual included. I had to research online to figure out the order of the lines and the different knots required. Also, no backing is provided, just a leader and float line. So a little extra effort is required with this “all in one” setup. I have used this rod for 8 hours or so without difficulty. The reel has a simple drag system, with about 7 varying levels. The carrying case is an awesome bonus. Great overall value for the money!

Bought this rod as a low cost way to get into the sport, have no clue of what im doing but after fishing spinning rods and other sorts for 10 plus years I’ll be able to figure it out in sure! Super excited to get out there and test it, package is nice for the price, the bag is of nice quality with a pocket to hold the reel, the reel is made of plastic bit it has a strong sturdy feel to it pretty impressive, drag adjustable on the h back of the reel. Amazing price for what you get would recommend!

La bolsa es una broma, no solo esta muy fea sino no proteje en nada el equipo.

The rod its self is perfect. My only gripe is I would have prefered the line to have been on the reel. Apart from that I’m very happy

The rod is quite nice for the price. The reel does not come fully setup, and it comes without backing line – so you will need to buy that separately and then setup the reel yourself! The fly line also comes without a hoop to connect the leader which again is not great and a bit of a hassle. Not ideal for a kit designed for beginners. The 2 flies it comes with feel a bit poor. Overall this is an OK kit and I will probably just use it as a backup or one to take for a friend.
