    A Win With My Cat
Lily is a picky eater, but I try to find her things she might like. They are creepy to look at, but to my surprised she gobbled it up. I like the size. More in the container than others listed. I will be buying more.

some cats like ‘em, some cats aren’t interested
Thanks to the efforts of the Cat Distribution Network™, there’s been a small kitty that’s been hanging around my place. One day I heard her calling and when I went to investigate, I found she brought me a small dead bird. I told her, “You killed it, you eat it,” which she did. As I rather like little birds, I ordered this in hopes she would no longer feel the need to hunt them. I put one out for her and she turned her nose up at it—but the next day it was gone. Rinse, later, and repeat. I rather suspected some other critter was enjoying the treat. On the third try I found out who: ’twas another clip eared kitty—who, alas, was content to “steal” the food I put out, but not in the least interested in socializing with me.The jar is bigger than I’d expected and contains a LOT of little quail—based on the weight of a single bird (I weighed one) and the claimed weight of the contents, we’re talking roughly 72 of ‘em.[Disclosure: I received this product for “free”—in quotes because the IRS considers the item’s retail value as taxable income for federal income tax purposes. This review is my personally written—not AI generated—honest opinion, and is uncensored by the seller.]

    Freeze dried baby birds 🙁
They’re definitely freeze dried quail. Most of the heads are broken off but my cats don’t seem to care for them. My coworkers cat loves them and apparently begs for them

My Cat Likes To Eat Them
First of all my cat he HATES birds and always tries to catch them and gets mad even when he sees one walking around outside the window. He’s gotten older now and his bird count has dropped each year and he hasn’t caught one in about a year, so when I gave him one of these freaky looking fossils he immediately took it and tried to chomp it. Unfortunately, he’s also lost a lot of teeth and he wasn’t able to do much damage to the dried up little raptor. He looked at me for help so I cut it up into little pieces which seemed less than gourmet but not to my cat. He appreciated it very much and devoured the whole thing – feet to beak. This is a perfect little treat for my good semi-retired bird catcher. Eating a whole tiny bird should give him much of the whole prey nutrients that he used to get from hunting his own birds.

Elderly dog with sensitive teeth enjoyed them
We were looking for small treats for an elderly dog with bad teeth who will no longer eat hard snacks. This looked like a good options. The Good:-The elderly dog took and ate the snack immediately. There were no negative chewing issues.-Our 7-year-old dog that likes solid chew toys and snacks also ate this quail snack after a good sniff.-The quail snacks are well sealed and there is a generous amount in the container.-There is no noticeable smell. The Bad:-Nothing.Note that these snack are entire little birds. I should have known that from the product name, but I thought this might be freeze-dried bites. However, it is entire birds. This product met my expectations in satisfying an elderly dog.

    A nutritious single ingredient treat
Let me start by getting the obvious out of the way, these are pretty disgusting. They’re super tiny, but it’s still a whole quail body. That being said, my dogs seem to love the more disgusting treats the most. I was surprised by how tiny these are, but in a good way because while I’d do just about anything for my dogs, if I had to break these into pieces for them I’m just not sure I could handle that! In terms of nutrition, these are great. I love having high protein treats for my dogs, and single ingredient treats are even better because I know there’s no additives to worry about. They really seem to love the taste and texture, and I’m pleasantly surprised by how many you get for the price. If you have the stomach to reach into the container to feed one to your pet, I highly recommend them. If you have a weak stomach then buyer beware!

    Ummm, they are whole birdies
I was expecting freeze-dried chunks. I was not expecting whole little birdies. And I ordered them while I was visiting someone. Their name on the package. What a surprise they got when they opened it. (I actually apologized). However, to be completely fair – these freeze-dried treats are perfectly described and shown as listed. I should not have been surprised. If you can get past that, three doggos I just happen to know loved them. If you have cats, they would probably also like these little tweety birds.A good size package that’s priced well.
