Works like a charm!
Our back yard was pretty much a desert because we have yet to add grass and plants to it. We never get any birds at all, and we love birds. I got this without raising my hopes too high but I was so surprised at how quick the birds came to eat from it. We had 3 species of birds at least. The food particles are small enough for tiny birds like the one you see in my video, and the color is a yellow-ish beige and has no real distinct smell aside from it smelling like how every other grain smells (nothing specific but itâs not bad smelling, itâs just grainy smell lol). Itâs very durable because it rained today all day but it held up its texture and shape, but itâs soft enough to be eaten by birds because I see them munching away so I know itâs not too hard for them. 100% recommend it, this stuff works like magic at attracting birds.

I think this is for pet birds but wild birds seems to enjoy it as well.
The Hagen Pigeon & Dove Seed, Nutritionally Complete Bird Food, original version, has been a hit with the wild birds in my area. Despite being marketed for pet/domesticated birds, I’ve found that wild birds also appreciate it. The 6-pound pack offers a decent quantity at a reasonable price point, making it a cost-effective choice for feeding the feathered friends in my backyard. I’ve been satisfied with the product and will continue purchasing it in the future.

The pidgies (and wrens) love it!
I absolutely love pigeons, and there are several places near where I live where they tend to gather. I don’t dump a ton of seed all at once, but locate a flock nearby and start scattering small amounts. All it takes is one bird to notice and come over; then they all do. They love the various seeds in this mixture, and so do the neighborhood wrens, who also come to feed.I keep a couple of 8 oz screw-lid containers in my purse so I’m prepared whenever I encounter hungry pidges!Bread should not be fed to birds, as it has no nutrition in it and doesn’t help them stay healthy. This seed mixture, however, is perfect! I just ordered my second bag.

Pigeon Loves it!!!
This food is great, I have a rescue pigeon, sheâs about 6 weeks old now, goes out but comes back everyday to grub some treats off of me, This girl loves the flat corn/stamped corn, she picks it out and eats every drop, she then eats the rest of the food, , but, what I want to know is, what is that corn called ? I would love a bag of just that to add more to the treats , I attached a pic of the pieces Iâm talking about, looks like a ruffles potato chip, thank you

I feed the same 7 Mourning Doves and the same 8 Pigeons daily. I was using chopped peanuts, sunflower seed and wild bird mix. I decided to try this specific food. The enthusiasm from my 15 friends has been really encouraging to watch. The important thing is, first and foremost, they eat very quickly and throughly, donât have trouble picking any of it up and having to take too much time, which makes them vulnerable to the Hawks. Secondly, they are looking much much better since I introduced this seed to their diet. I believe that the fortification of the seed, both in nutrition and insect control, has been an incredible assist to the birds, who often deal with difficult living conditions and have eaten contaminated things to survive (like the effects of lead poisoning, which pigeons often contract in urban/suburban areas) leaving them deficient at best. The birds feathers are much nicer, their sheen is easily twice what it was, they also seem to clean their feathers and arrange/rearrange their filling crops more quickly. I have seen that some people felt the flattened corn addition was negative, but my experience has been the opposite. They never leave any; the technique I see the Pigeons use is picking up the flattened kernel, clipping it in their beak, eating the portion in their mouth, picking it up again, repeat. Two of them always scan through their portion to eat the âcorn biscuitâ first, but none of them dislike it. We (the writer of this review and my cooing friends) cannot recommend Hagen Pigeon and Dove Staple enough. Very reasonable price for food thatâs just excellent.

This product has helped our local pigeons survived a tough winter! We had noticed that wildlife species must eat more food & quicker than usual, in order to retain their body-heat-reserves during extreme weather conditions (e.g. -20+C with windy snowy white-out conditions). We have decided to purchase additional packs for our friends & relatives, in supporting “Love Your Mother Earth” Neighborhood Campaign (see below for details).Did you know…Ecological Collapse is now closer than ever!Climate Change, Covid19 etc. are merely warning signs… How to stop it?If everyone can do the followings:*Preserve biodiversity & Grow more trees(instead of growing toxic landfill garbage)*Spend more time & money protecting our remaining wilderness (instead of shopping)*Connect & listen to mother nature(instead of internet & social media)Support our dying planet! All the little birds around here(finches, chickadees etc) LOVE this stuff. It is a bit messy, but nothing a broom can’t handle in cleaning up. I gave it 4 stars as I do feel it’s over priced for the size of the bag and will probably go pick up larger bags of something else at a local store as the birds here will eat thru an entire back in about 3 days max lol.

This attracts crows, grackles, redwing blackbirds, many small birds, squirrels and rabbits. It’s my hiding in the hostas cat’s TV. And she hasn’t caught one bird.
