LOVE it! It works like it suppose to. Its sturdy and comfortable for my dog. The padded sleeves do slide back when the dog walks , so I sewed them in place. It prevents rubbing under his legs. Other than that its great. Easy to put on. I think my dog prefers the harness to the collar. No pulling or tightness in the neck area.

It works to help control my Labrador Retriever on daily walks.
After nine months I have to order another harness. The webbing has frayed too much near the rear lead attachment point. The slide gets caught up on the weakened and damaged area making it hard to manipulate. This newer version is made of a sewn together ribbon material that is much inferior to the old versions of this harness. Older versions were made of a heavy cord that lasted the life of a Labrador Retriever. I wish they would make them like they used to, but this is a good harness for pulling control as it tightens around the dog’s chest in a very humane way to discourage your dog from pulling.

After searching for two weeks I decided upon this item, due to reviews [negative & positive]. Other than a couple days of operator error, this product delivers as advertised. My girl is forty-five [45 pounds] mixed breed dog with short hair and a short snout, extremely intelligent, nearly five [5] years old. The tricks learned from utilization of this product are: 1. the front harness connection must ride on the outside of the dogs shoulder [left or right] which is ultimately what inhibits the pulling, when the harness is under the front legs it creates a situation that gives the dog more pulling strength. 2. It also helps to have a tasty snack for the moments when pulling would have occurred and didn’t. I plan on using this product for another two weeks [as I still have issues with cats being a distraction for her] otherwise she is now a joy to walk with. The four star rating for sturdiness is given as this product would not [in my opinion] last for a long period of time [say a year or more of daily usage]. Worth every penny!
We have tried numerous leashes, harnesses and other training items to try to get our two dogs to quit pulling so much while walking them. We have a 50 pound blue heeler/border collie mix and a 60 pound pit mix and they both are absolutely horrible, they even drag my husband around let alone me with my bad back, hip, etc. I started by buying one because like I said we’ve tried so many other things unsuccessfully, but after trying Halti out on both dogs I immediately ordering a second one so that they both had their own. We just took them both with us to a Court Days event , which if you’ve never heard of or been to one it is like a huge flea market, yard sale, gun/animal sale type of thing that covers an entire little town which is miles of walking through fields and thousands of people and booths. They both did so good with these on that even my husband was floored. Without Halti we never would have been able to look at anything or even control them. It was a major change from their normal behavior and a major God send considering we didn’t have a choice but to take them with us when we hadn’t planned to because our dog sitter had hurt her wrist and couldn’t watch them. We will never buy another type of harness for any dog, we are a Halti customer for life!

This is a game changer. My dog no longer pulls.
