Too deep for small birds, to narrow for big ones.
This product is too deep for small birds like finches and sparrows and not white enough for large birds like Jays. You can make it work for smaller birds by putting rocks in it, but that makes it really heavy. I am fortunate to live by the ocean so I got Beach rocks which were lighter and put them in. We will see how it works. Should have gone with my initial instinct and just used a plant saucer.

Lovely design. But it cracked in cold weather. Attempts to seal with gorilla glue and heavy duty duct tape were unsuccessful.
