Good fit on QH mare
I bought first set in large and did a slight alteration on the 2 bottom fasteners of each fly boot. Then bought another set in medium ended up doing the same thing to them. However, these are great fly boots they stay in place as good as any others Iâve tried and maybe a little better than others Iâve bought. They definitely more affordable. Iâve been using both sets daily for about a month and they sturdy and have stayed intact even after washing – I donât use laundry soap just cold wash in machine.

Perfect fit, great value
** UPDATE (5/24) Although I initially loved these, they didnât last long and began sliding down. I ended up purchasing a pair of the SHOOFLY fly boots and after two seasons I have not been disappointed**I was impressed how well made these boots appear to be made and Iâm sure my gelding appreciates the soft fleece trim lining around them as well. *This is a one day/ night review, but will update on durability after a while.* My QH is about 1,100lbs somewhat stout 15.2h and I purchased him a Large. The boots went on very easily and I like how they conform to his legs. The first photo was taken the next morning after I left them on him all night, where he was also turned out the entire time. My gelding isnât one to destroy rugs or fly masks so I donât see him ruining these boots. I saw a previous review where someone said they were sent all LEFT boots but Iâm going to assume the L on each boot probably means large.

Not so sure.
I like how they fit and I like where the velcro sits. They have a nice bend in them and fit perfectly. They do offer great fly protection and the horse stands nicely to place them. However, I’m not so sure these are great quality. I have had these for 2 weeks and they are starting to tear/rip at the seam. My horse has done nothing but stand and mosey around in pasture in them. We never do any work with them on. I take them off every other day for a day to check the legs and feet and give horse a break. The horse doesn’t mind them at all and doesn’t try to take them off or anything. I’ve washed them 2x by hand only with water only and hung dry. They should last longer than 2 weeks… I’m afraid they will break soon?? I’ve attached picture of them on horse brand new. A video. And today when washing I noticed the tear. Only 2 are torn so Im wondering if it was the hind 2? They are all the same size and not labeled….So sad because I ordered another pair for other horse before I noticed this.

Didn’t hold up in the pasture
Love that they have multiple areas for velcro on each leg and that they come in a set of 4. Often they are purchased in pairs. They seem well made and there are a great selection of colors. Price is extremely affordable. I purchased two more sets for my other horses. I hope they will hold up over time!!Edit: Unfortunately, these didn’t hold up to use in the pasture. They would slide down, the horses would step on them, and they’d rip. I adjusted them multiple times throughout the day and they would stay for a few hours tops. The grass seeds would also stick like crazy to the material. So disappointed!

Donât waste your time (or money)
Did they arrive quickly? Yep!Did they fit well? They did!Did they protect against flies? Sure, while they lasted.Thatâs the thing though, these didnât last a week on my solo-turned out, and otherwise stall-kept gelding. Every single one has a tear in it near the Velcro – One boot even tore in half. So if youâre looking for durability, these are not it.
Did not last 2 weeks, ripped . Very disappointing –
Dislike, put on my horse 2 weeks and they ripped

In theory, I thought these would be great and stay up better with the shaping in them. However after a week or so of wear they started to slip down so his leg was not longer protected and you then have to undo it all to get it set back where it belongs and they just slide back down again.
