Not Very Much Heat
My sister installed this in the chicken coop which was easy enough due to it’s ability to be hung.Unfortunately, she didn’t feel it was putting off enough heat to work for keeping the coop snug, but did observe that it should be ideal for keeping young chicks comfortable.So based on our experience, this would be best for chicks and not ideal for coops that house 5 or more chickens.

Yes I read the reviews saying that there is no hood on the lamp fixture but in my circumstance it is simply not in any way necessary. Hereâs why: At the top of the light fixture from where the lamp hangs, you can see in the photo that I placed here for you that there is a secure wire loop that is molded into the fixture. And you can see in the photo that the fixture arrives with a strong, secure wire chain to hang the fixture from. So, for the price here, the convenience, and how well this lamp works, I feel that it is a 5 star product.
