Great Product, great price, great service
We’ve been purchasing food for our Quaker parrot through Amazon for around 2 years either by me or my wife who is on my account. We like the Higgins product as it contains seed that is healthy for our bird and she seems very happy with it. The price is less than we’ve paid at a local pet supply shop and the next day delivery is very convenient. The product always arrives well packed and that is very much appreciated. We look forward to continued purchases.

Staple
My conure enjoys this seed. She has access to it at all times along with pellets and fresh fruit and veggies every morning. I like it does not have sunflower seeds. We just use those as treats. She picks her favorites out first and then demolishes the rest. She will take dried fruit pieces over to her water and dip them to soften them up.

My bords love this
These don’t ship as fast as they used to , even with Prime. I shop all around to get the fastest shipping….never very fast. But the birds like it, so……..I try to get this because it has variety for my different kinds of birds, and they do all love it. All the birds are healthy. I also add other treats that are fresh, but this is their basic diet for years and years. I make sure to examine it closely , just to be sure there aren’t any surprises, but its always good and seems fresh. One tip- I put my bridseed in the freezer for SEVERAL DAYS before pouring it ito the big jar I store it in. This reduces, and usually stops the production of moths. Birdseed comes with some moth eggs. (I’ve never found a birdseed that doesn’t.) You can’t see them. The longer you keep it the more moths hatch, but freezing kills the eggs. It works.I keep a lot of wool yarn. The moths will eat every bit of expensive yarn I have if I don’t keep winning the battle.

Cockatiels don’t touch 80% of what is in it.
I don’t know if it is the dried fruit, or what else is going on in this mix, but my cockatiels hate it. They pick out the tiny seeds and the safflower, that is it. I am going to try Vita Prima, and Volkman instead. The mix smells nice though, just not enough for my birds to touch it. My budgies don’t like anything in it at all, minus the tiny seeds. The mix itself has a nice variety, i’d leave out the dried fruit entirely though.

Best bird seed
I have been feeding this see to my Lovebird for the past 11+ years. I love that there are no fatty sunflowers or peanuts that could have mold. My bird loves the dried fruit which he dips in his water bowl. This 2 bag package is by far the best deal on this bird seed I had found.
