Forever our favorite dog food!
Our dogs love this food! They devour every meal. Itâs easy for them to eat/chew, easy on their tummies, and gives them the necessary nutrition for healthy living. I have 2 large dogs and a 35 lb bag of food will last them 2 months! Delivery is always on time and the product is always fresh. We canât rave about it enough.

My Golden Retriever is obsessed
Shortly after our golden retriever turned 1, we wanted to switch her off of large breed puppy food and onto adult large breed food. She was previously eating a different large brand puppy food that helped her grow big and strong, but she was a bit of a picky eater in that she was never overly excited to eat. She just ate when she was starving, and even then, as she got older we had to buy different toppers to get her interested in her food enough to eat it regularly. The day we started introducing some of the Hill’s Science Diet Adult Large Breed Dry Dog Food, she was obsessed. She devoured her food and was super happy, wanting more. Now that she is fully transitioned to adult food, she gets excited for meal time every day and doesn’t leave her bowl until it is all gone (she almost never used to do this – she would graze a little off and on throughout the day). We also loved that the ingredients are a cleaner and a little better for her than her previous dog food. I would highly recommend Hill’s to anyone with a large breed dog. It also smells way better!

Doing well on this food
We have been using this as our doberman’s basic food for four years now. He is doing well on it, has not developed and hot spots or allergies. We do add freeze dried liver and internal organs for extra taurine, and veggies, and sometimes an egg. He also gets vitamins for joint health. He has a good energy level on this food. I feed him based on the recommendation on the bag for his size.We like this food particularly because it is NOT grain free which is linked to DCM in dobermans as well as many other breeds. Always check with your very before giving your dog a grain free food, even grain free treats.The bag has a resealable top which helps it to stay fresh. I have it delivered every month on subscribe and save. He doesn’t eat the whole bag every month, but it is easy to skip a delivery if we don’t need another bag that month.I also love that I never have to carry a heavy bag home from the store. I recommend this dog food. I get the largest sized bag so subscribe and save is a life saver for me. The bag is sturdy and I’ve never had it break on me.

Only food we feed our pets
Science diet is constantly testing their food for quality. It is the only food we feed our pets. Delivery is on time. My cc animals have always enjoyed this food. I like the huge bag for my huge dog lol! It smells good to him is what he told me. He also says itâs always fresh. Great food!

Great for dogs with sensitive stomach
When I adopted my dog (boxer/german sherpherd mix), he was battling stomach issues and was on a Hillâs Science diet, recommended by his vet. After his stomach issues subsided, I tried weening him to a slightly cheaper dog food brand but he started having stomach issues again so I kept him on Hillâs Science. Even several years later, I tried switching him to Blue Buffalo but that gave him stomach discomfort too. Hillâs Science has been the only brand that has worked for my dog. My newest dog is also on this and has had no issues. I 100% recommend this brand for other dog owners because from personal experience with dog with a sensitive stomach, I know this is a high quality product. We are going on 4+ years of using this.

Too big of a box
I dislike the box they deliver my dogfood in. It use to come in a smaller box with holes for handles. Now it is so big hard to handle and carry. Bring back the old package please. I do not care it said dogwood on it.

Dog Loves It

My Australian Sherperd been on this food and its puppy version in the last 2 years at least. Weight maintenance is perfect (shes around 50 pounds and dont over eat or else), shes full of energy, no vomit/indigestion since shes on it, fur/hair is healthy/good looking, teeth are white, breath smell good, this product size can last me from 6 to 8 weeks. Very economic imo for the quality. In store this brand in the same size can be 100-115$ before taxes here.

If you’ve read any of my other reviews of Hill’s Science Diet, you’ll know I’m a big fan of both the dry and wet foods they offer for dogs. With five dogs in the family, ranging from giant breed (Irish Wolfhound) to tiny (miniature poodle), finding food they all like is not an issue with Science Diet. And while I buy small-kibble dry food for the poodle, he likes to eat the large-adult sized kibble, while the Wolfhound is happy with the small bite-sized mini foods. Go figure.This Chicken and Barley dry food for adult large breed is a good example. While my Wolfhound is happy with this dry food, the poodle continually grabs the larger pieces from the Wolfhound’s bowl, while ignoring the smaller kibble in his bowl! Whether it’s because of the taste, or he just likes larger pieces, I can’t say, but I do see all five dogs happily digging into the dry food. The ingredient list is excellent, as is the added supplements, and my dogs, on Science Diet dry and wet food for years, are all healthy and happy. I attribute a lot of that to the high-quality food they eat.

Our dog seems to like so thatâs good. Just that the kibble is at least twice the size chips as our regular Hills large dog breed kibble same flavour. Good value though.
