Hoof Wraps Bandages were specifically designed with your horse’s comfort and your convenience in mind. Hoof Wraps can be safely used for common hoof care such as abscess, thrush, and stone bruise and can also be used for protection after shoe loss. When circumstances allow, you can treat or protect you horse and still allow them their freedom. It is a multi-use, multi-purpose bandage that is made with high quality, durable material so it stays on your horse and quickens healing. Size – Hoof Wraps comes in one size that you can customize to your horse’s hoof. The unique design allows the bandage to fit most standard horses with a hoof diameter between 4″ to 5.5″, which includes roughly 80% of all horses in America. Durability – Hoof Wraps is made with 1600 denier ballistic nylon and reinforced with industrial stitching, so it’s tough and stays on. You can reuse the bandage for several days up to 2 weeks or longer, depending on the horse and the conditions. It is machine washable and durable enough to use as back up hoof protection when your horse loses a shoe. Turnout – Hoof Wraps were designed especially for horses on turn out. The bandage includes a ½ inch EVA foam pad that helps relieve pain and pressure on the hoof, so your horse can move freely. Ease of Use – Our step by step numbering system is printed directly on the bandage, so applying it on your horse is stress free and easy to understand. The bandage can be quickly removed, cleaned, and reapplied.

Customers say
Customers find the hoof bandage works well and is easy to apply, with one noting it’s easier than making a duct tape hoof wrap. The bandage stays on well and helps with healing, with one customer mentioning its effectiveness for elderly horses with abscesses. The durability receives mixed feedback – while some find it very durable, others note the canvas material could be more durable. Customers disagree on the value for money, and one customer mentions the size being too large.

Works great!!!
This bandage protects the foot and wears like iron! Great value. Hope they don’t raise the price because of a generous review.

Pretty good – my guy has huge feet (he’s a 16.3 TB) and this bandage barely covers his big hooves, but as we worked though an abscess – and he was in the barn for most of that – this bandage was a great help. He had a big abscess under his sole, draining through the bulb. This bandage was good for keeping the poultice in place after soaking. I used it with vet wrap under it when we started but just used the bandage alone toward the end, to keep the hoof dry and clean. Once you get the hang of it, it’s pretty easy to slap on (my guy is impatient so this mattered). It’s not made to last forever, but it got us through a week and a half of use and will be good for more if/when necessary. You can wash it, and I use my dog’s slicker brush to clean hook-and-loop fasteners/snaps. That really makes a difference. I’d definitely recommend.

Great Option for Dealing With Hoof Abscesses
So much easier than making a duct tape hoof wrap and they allow the hoof to breathe better too! The pic is after 2 weeks of wearing it on one of my horses that has a bad stone bruise that resulted in an abscess. It’s still completely solid even though the bottom shows some wear from our sand and gravel. Once you get the hang of it, these are really easy to put on and very adjustable. I always wrap with 2 diapers (size 3 pullups are perfect) and then put the hoof wrap on. I’ve been using these hoof wraps for YEARS, as I used to have a senior horse who was prone to abscesses even though her PPID was well controlled with pergolide. These wraps are awesome.

Not durable… it works, stays on, but wears quickly.
My horse had a hoof wall issue and I needed to keep his foot wrapped and clean. I put this over the wrap to keep the wrap on. It did. But within four days of stall wear it had worn through the toe. So, overall, it was faster than a duct tape boot but it certainly didn’t wear any better. I can buy a lot of duct tape for $25.

Not durable
Only lasted for a few days in stall/paddock wear. Boot was totally destroyed, in shreds around ankle. Nice idea but I think the velcro and material is too lightweight.

Worked as expected
Worked for a horse healing from a bad abscess to help with the pain due to poor hoof quality. Helped offset the pain with walking due to walking on sole. Lasted for a week of Daily wear in pasture.

Using boot for 12 daysâ¦
Using this boot to cover a poultice wrap. Itâs doing a great job of keeping my wrap clean and it gives her more cushion for her to walk on. Have been using boot for 12 days straight, itâs holding up really well. I do have to wrap duck tape on top of boot, otherwise my mare rips velcro off. ð. Velcro is strong and would hold fine if my mare wasnât being a pain about it!

Smart idea
We tried these after battling with diapers and duct tape for an abscess. This was way easier to do and more durable than duct tape. Our gelding paces a lot in the morning before food so these held up decent but only lasted a few days in total. The foam pad was practically destroyed after the first night. I grabbed another pad for the second day of use and sane issue. If the foam was a bit stronger and the fabric reinforced it would be perfect.

Excellent product. Bit tricky to put on, but only because the Velcro is so incredibly strong. Great tool to have in the first aid box. I bought a pair and my horse wore them once to get used to them. Then a few weeks later he got a hoof abscess and l used the hoof wrap again.

This is my 2nd boot, first one lasted about 2 weeks before stitching started to fray and 3 weeks before first holes through the fabric. For this one, I’ve reinforced the stitching and sprayed the sole with truck bedliner so we’ll see if it lasts any longer…
