The first button is for changing light brightness: 100%-77%-55%-32%-10%. The second button is for shifting light modes: White Les, Blue+white+red Leds, Red+ blue Leds. The third button is for lighting time setting: there is an indicator light above it, it will turn 3 colors in turn when you press the button. Yellow -3 hours, green-6 hours, red- 12 hours.The last button is on/off the light.

Star ratings explained:BRIGHTNESS FUNCTION – five stars because it is bright! Very bright!TIMER FUNCTION – ZERO STARS Whats to rate???? It’s a OFF timer like the Sleep function on your TV in 1972. Not a feature to brag about man, more like pimple your trying to hide. Heres the feature: You can turn it OFF in 3 hours, you can turn it OFF in 6 hours, and wait for it……you can turn it off in yes…..12 friggin hours. NICE. Oh yeah AND you can turn it OFF in NOT NEVER! hours. so…..friggin…..cool………..I Wanna do it again tomorrow, yup, press the stupid button again for 3,6,or 12. not programmable captain.WATER RESISTANCE – ZERO STARS – Its going to be around water, near water or within inches of water right? I dont want water resistance, I want water proof. Its not. I sealed mine up with aquarium silicone around the edges for my case only. I broke the rules. No tank lid and it’s extended like a ballerina on a tight rope, because my tank is a too long for the size i got. My junk is hanging by metal wires one inch above certain electrfying death. The longer one is too long and that is just plain ugly. I don’t buy ugly on purpose. Aesthetics over safety? in this case yes. My bad.One year of ownership and now I write my review of this light. See below for what I donât like.What I donât like⢠Brightness description on the Amazon page o Now the description says adjustable brightness and to combine the timer function to simulate day to night. Itâs useless so I donât use it. I have a WI fi plug connected to it set to come on at 9 am and turn off at 7PM, 10 hours. That cost me 4 dollars. Well worth it, but that is another review. o No memory recall after power loss and default is WHITE ON 100% | RED/BLUE ON 100% o Due to above wifi plug I use, it loses memory every night because I cut power to it. So the fish are awaken every morning by the GREAT GOD of SUNLIGHT shining through their little a*** at the peak of dawn!!!! This is an economical light, so I didnât expect it to have a fully programmable EPROM chip installed with full dimmable capabilities at this price point. Not a negative. This product is 100% recommended for a cheap, well built, long lasting, bright LED, slim, sturdy, strong and sleek designed LED lighting fixture for your aquarium, planted or not planted. Excellent color changing aquarium hood light!
Perfect hood light for my 75 gallon freshwater non planted aquarium! I love how you can change the color of the light, and also the intensity. No complaints whatsoever.

Great light. Very durable.
This light has been used for over a year now for nearly 12 hours a day. No issues at all. The only downside we noticed is that when used on a smart plug it comes on as full bright. This isn’t an issue for us as we want it full bright, but others may not.

Very nice color
Bought this light because my old light was way too strong and wasn’t adjustable, which was giving me some real algae problems. The color of this light is much nicer and it’s not hard to find a brightness level that makes my aquarium look much nicer than before. My only complaint is that the brightness setting does not hold if you use a timed outlet so I’ve had to use the timer built into the light which is a bit of a pain. I’ve also noticed that using the built in timer that the light does not turn off but goes into a dim night mode instead. Still this light (along with a couple of snails) has allowed me to bring the algae under control. Considering the lower price point of this light, the timer limitations are very minor

Hygger 32W full spectrum aquarium light:I have two of these on my 90 gal planted tank, mainly low light plants. Itâs working out well.I started with one light and realized it was not enough light to get the plants in my tank to grow or maintain. (At the time I had anubias and Java fern. Later added pogostemon stellatus octopus.) So I ordered another light and that seemed to do the trick.Iâve had the lights 3 yrs now, still working like day 1.It has a 3 hr, 6 hr, and 12hr timer function. I donât use the lights timer function, I use external timers which has been working out well.I paid $48 for one, and $50 for the other, which feels like fair prices for all the use I get out of them.

The light itself is good and I like the dimmer feature on it. I use an external timer so the only downfall is that the light always reverts back to the brightest setting when it comes on in the morning but I knew that when I bought it. I work from home so it’s no biggie to adjust it during the day.

After using this light for a few weeks, Iâve realized it is way under powered and not that great for plants. The wattage is way too low. Upgraded to a different brand with better wattage and controls. Canât return as Amazon wants me to pay shipping and be refunded. Donât have time for that. Hopefully I can resell. There are better lights out there for the same price that will grow plants.
