iBorn 14″ Hanging 6 Port Bird Feeder w/ Catch Tray
I bought two of these, one for black oil sunflower and the other for economy mix seeds. They work very well for both. The copper finish is attractive, and the six feeding perches give the birds options. These are very easy to fill, but the one issue is that the dusty residue can clog the bottom ports so occasionally I give the feeders a shake and a whack to clear the debris. They are sized right for finches, sparrows, chickadees, cardinals, and I’ve even had redwing blackbirds on them. These iBorn products are very well made and I have four feeders and their pole hanger. Highly recommended.

High quality & very functional bird feeder
This may be the highest quality & most functional bird feeder I’ve ever purchased. The birds already love it only 1 day after hanging it off my condo balcony. The tray is crucial to not wasting feed & birds of all sizes love to perch on it & eat the feed on the tray. I’ve been a bird watcher since I was 4-5 years old & have purchased dozens of feeders in the last 50+ years. This one is truly amazing & a great buy as well. I highly recommend it.

Classic bird feeder, holds 1.5lbs of seed, not immune to squirrels
Nice looking brushed copper, classic style cylindrical feeder (not immune to squirrels without some tradtional anti-squirrel accessories) with 6 perches/ports for birds. Came fully assembled and ready to use. I bought the clear base to catch seeds, which only required snapping together, and I had difficulty getting some pieces to fit. You should hear a ‘click’, but I did not. The clip portion of the base had some excess plastic from the manufacturing/molding process that a simple nail file allowed me to shave off – then I heard the click! Easy to fix but needed a magnifier for my old eyes to see what the problem was (keep this in mind if used as a gift to someone needing to see and work with tiny parts)UPDATE: feeder is sturdy. Mine fell about 12-15′ from deck to a stone patio and survived 100% (even the extra base shows zero damage). yeee-haaaa!UPDATE2: the base is not sturdy and has cracked in several places while cleaning.

A few concerns
I liked the look of the feeder when I received it and the birds liked it enough, but not as much as the squirrels. I couldn’t keep them out of it!!! The bottom clear plastic tray is a little flimsy. Squirrels got it unassembled a few times. The plastic of the tube got scratched and old looking fairly quickly. The tube is a little small so needed to be refilled too often for my liking. I replaced this by bigger squirrel-proved feeders.

Excellent Feeder
By far the best bird feeder of this category I have ever purchased. The design of the interior of the tube makes the seed feed into the ports from only below the opening. The tray is more rugged than it looks. Survived a racoon assault on the feeder after it broke the clear plastic baffel that was on the pole. Bought a new type of baffel that discourages all mammal versions of Tarzan. So pleased with this feeder I bought a second one! Great product!!!

Horrendous to clean…
So this is a really concept feeder. Works as intended for the most part, looks really nice. Easy to fill, easy to take the top off, easy to attach the bottom portion of it (clear plastic seed tray) but there are a few things YOU should know:#1: The clear plastic seed tray is super flimsy and will break easily when put together or take apart and by break I mean the tiny fitting and notches. Best once it’s all put together – super glue it so it never comes apart again.#2: Remember the horrendous rains we had recently? Well these feeders were out there and somehow water got inside of them and made a nasty mess of thick seeds and mold inside the bottom portion of the feeder which was really hard to clean out. Took me about 20 minutes of hard, super hot rinsing and sticking a skinny little stick down in there to try and dislodge it all. Letting it all dry out now so I can refill it.I was thinking of trying to create some type of rain top for it but the way it is designed makes that hard to do…. This have been a one off due to how crazy that rain was but just keep that in mind.Otherwise they’re pretty awesome. I like them.

Very Satisfied
I liked the packaging and the quality of construction. I found the seed tray slightly difficult to assemble. It worked much better when snapping the four pieces together to place on a smooth, level, clutter-free surface like a kitchen counter or bench or desktop. It has been working for lots of lesser goldfinch in our courtyard for a few days now. We are using sunflower chips. Larger birds, like house finches prefer to eat from the nearby platform feeder or from the seed tray below the new iBorn tube feeder. It is raining today and these birds do not mind when we move both feeders under our patio umbrella, hanging from the struts. Very satisfied with this purchase.

I have had it just for a couple of days so can comment on what I experience now. This is sturdy aluminum feeder which, I believe, should last long. It was easy to setup and is pretty good looking.I have been looking for one with catcher tray and this is perfect for my needs.

For the price, the quality is good, quite happy with it. Of course again at this price it won’t be heavy duty construction but it is solid enough. I’m happy this can feed the birds without the squirrels taking their food away.

Die Säule ist sehr beliebt bei unseren Vögeln und wird sowohl von ihnen wie auch von den Eichhörnchen gut angenommen. Durch die Auffangschale fällt auch kaum etwas auf unseren Balkon.Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut. Kann ich gerne weiterempfehlen.
