Made well. If bird doesn’t rip pad apart can reuse by adding new toys to it.

My birds love it!
Iâve bought this item a couple times now and my birds absolutely love it! The first one they had shredded within days. It keeps them occupied for a while at a time. Definitely worth the price.

Toy may not be exactly as shown–and it’s big!
As my headline stated, the toy may not be exactly as shown. It will have all the bits and bobs on it, but the colors may not be the same. I also would recommend taking a close look at the dimensions of this thing (which I did not), because it was bigger than I expected. Actually the picture of the budgie with the toy is actually fairly accurate–usually pictures with photoshopped birds are not. I don’t think this would be a good choice for a small cage, but might be a fun “outside” toy if you let your birds play out of their cages.Since my budgies (I have 2) have a large rectangular flight cage, the toy has been hung on the side of the cage near a perch and a corner perching shelf. At first, they were actually afraid of it, and cowered on the other side of the cage. I removed the toy, and let them become accustomed to some smaller bird toys. and tried showing the mat to them again. And again, they didn’t seem to like it. After some week, I tried the toy for the third time, and they’ve been playing with it constantly. They managed to chew it loose a couple of times already, so I had to hang it back up using the plastic rings. There are also plenty of places to hide small treats for your bird to find which just adds to their fun. I plan to get one of the bigger mats made by Katumo, since it has different things on it for the birds to destroy. One caution for people with tall cages–your bird will chew this loose. I suggest locating it on a lower level, by a perch, on the floor, etc. because the bird will occasionally climb on this thing and may be caught by surprise if it falls. So far, this has not happened to my pets, and they should be fine if it does fall when they are on it since there is plenty of room for the bird to fly, or hop on a perch. I have a horizontal cage, so it doesn’t have any extreme “drops” to begin with.As I mentioned in another bird toy review, I did a lot of research about what kind of bird toys are safe and got all kinds of conflicting information. However, Katumo toys are highly rated with lots of sales, so I just went for it. Just use some common sense to check on both the toys and the birds, and so far, everything has been fine. They really like that grassy woven stuff the best.Edit: The mat is almost completely destroyed except for the plastic and harder wood parts. They loved this toy the best of everything I’ve given them except maybe their swings.

My parakeets like it
Took them a few days to warm up to it but they started playing with it and it seems to keep them busy for a while. Knocked off a star because it’s a little smaller than the last one I had for them within the same price range. It’s still a good price for the quality and seems safe and durable.

My budgie girl loves these!
My budgie girl loves these. She really gets into her missions of gnawing through the twine so it all unravels. The little extra toys on it get her attention too. They last for good a bit, depending on how into the groove your feathered or fur baby gets when they interact with it.Oh, you can totally scavenge leftover toy pieces after the toy eventually unravels & make new toys or add them to toys or perches you already have too! The string the add ons are already on make them easy to throw a slip knot on & hang from your window locks if you let your birds hang in your windows & look outside. Recycle, reuse, refurbish, right!

Cute, good price but neither parakeet OR linnie parakeet will go near it.
Fell down twice so maybe the Linnie parakeet (small parrot) messed with it, but I had to reattach the loops twice. For the most part it scared the parakeet and didn’t interest the linnie like a mirror does.Cute though with all sorts of stuff to play with, wish they were interested in it. Takes up a lot of space in the Big cage.
