No mess, almost
Most bird food blends have black sunflower seeds which birds love, but leave debris shells. Also red mullet, bird don’t like it so much and avoid. So when I saw this product shell-less seeds and no red mullet, yay. Now after inspecting my birdfeeders after using this product, I discovered i have left over cracked corn and tiny white millet husks, so almost mess free. My finches and sparrows are not loving corn so they leave it. Other that that, this probably the best food with least amount of undesirable filler seeds and waste. I will but again. They love the hushed sunflower seeds.

No mess under the feeders
I would highly recommend this wild bird feed. The birds seem to love it. Itâs totally edible so there is not a bunch of mess under my feeders. Whatever falls to the ground is quickly eaten by the doves and other ground feeders. I have this bird feed on a subscription so I receive it every so many weeks because I would not want to run out and have to buy an inferior kind.

NO WASTE, ATTRACTS MANY TYPES OF BIRDS
This is my go to bird seed for my feeders. Happy with time saved by no longer sweeping my balcony or weeding under feeder. Attracts big and small birds (I have a second feeder for the small birds that the larger ones canât access because they can be bullies and eat all the feed). Includes shelled peanuts unlike other brands, and is great value for the amount.

Expensive. BUT it saves a mess. AND a large variety of birds eat this food.
I enjoy seeing birds eat drink and carry on. I enjoy watching our indoor only cats watching “Kitty TV”out the window. I said that because I’m about to say this: I also feel it our responsibility to help wildlife eat and drink and make it thru sudden weather changes that occur these days that are not compatible to what has been their natural habitat before we moved in and took over. Over the years when we as people in the U.S have faced hard times I have watched pets be deserted let loose in the river wash, in the parks, even thrown on the highway and free way in bags. When the weather changes I have seen my feeders get crowded with more than just the regulars. When the economy gets bad same thing plus a number of strays lost and frightened and hungry. We people can be not always so wonderful. So I make room in our budget for 2 bags of this bird seed a month leaving a few things off the people part of the grocery food list. The manufacturers of this brand of this birdseed help by making it available even if they drop the weight of the bag and raise the price. Like I said we people can be not always so wonderful. But you know what? Doing something for living creatures of any type that are in trouble to get by even just alittle will make you feel better. And in these dark times who can’t do with alittle of that?!

Good Product
I like Kaytee…and so do the birds! I appreciate that there’s no waste. There’s a lot of loss with seed that have fillers because birds won’t eat it. I have bought some of Kaytee’s other products and they are good quality.

A Hit With Local Birds (and Squirrels!) â Just Watch for Moisture
All the birds in my South Florida neighborhoodâplus a few sneaky squirrelsâabsolutely love this mix. I use it in my gazebo-style feeder, and it draws in a great variety of colorful songbirds every day.One tip: if itâs rainy or you use sprinklers nearby, the seed can get a little sticky and clog the feeder holes, so just keep an eye on that and clear them occasionally. Otherwise, itâs a fantastic, low-mess option that keeps the backyard lively and fun to watch!

Very Messy
Doesn’t seem to attract as many birds or as varied species of birds as sunflower hearts. In fact this is one of the messiest feeds I have ever used. A lot of waste ends up on the ground – I am guessing that they just toss what they don’t want to eat. Even squirrrels don’t seem interested in what ends up on the ground!

Birds love it and do the wild life in my backyard.
Well it is a mess after the birds and squirrels finish eating out of the feeder. The feeder fell into the snow so I have to wait til spring to fill it up again. Birds love the food..
