I bought this for my 4 year old grandson because he wanted a fishing rod. I never thought he would be able to use it, but he quickly learned and casts like a pro. The push button reel is easy to use for a child, unlike a spinner. The return is quick, and you can also adjust the drag. It comes with everything you need including a carrying case. The telescoping rod feature makes it easy to transport in a car. For the price, this is an excellent set.

Below was my original review, I guess I shouldâve waited till he went fishing a few times with it. The third time fishing with it, the actual Reel broke off the rod and fell off into the water! The little tackle box and accessories are great, but about the only thing thatâs left of this purchase that I got him for Christmas. Iâm a little embarrassed! I would not recommend this for a purchase. I canât get my money back because itâs past the return date timeframe.My grandson has just gotten into fishing. I got him this for Christmas. He absolutely loves it. I would recommend this for purchase to anyone looking to give a fishing starter kit to their child.
