Absolutely a must for non sweaters.
I used this product on a new horse that originally came from Missouri. I live in south Florida and when my horse got here, in August, she wasnât sweating or drinking a lot of water. I had to hose her down with cold water daily and keep her out of the sun. Definitely couldnât ride her or sheâd overheat, begin panting, but not sweating. Her body wasnât acclimating to our weather. My vet recommended Kombat Kool. It took about three days, but it worked wonders. Along with a supplement of daily dark lager beer, she started drinking more water and began to sweat when outdoors. Within a week, I was able to ride her and she was able to finally go in her pasture for a couple of hours a day. Kombat Kool saved my horse. I think itâs a fantastic product. She doesnât mind the taste and eats all of her feed and I was able to turn her out in her pasture for several hours a day with no overheating. When the weather started turning cooler around December, I was able to just give her straight electrolytes without beer and she did fine, but, before summer she will start Kombat Kool again.

Horses x3 will not touch their food with this product in it.
The product originally appeared like it would work very well in helping with anhidrosis in my horses. I have three horses that suffer from anhidrosis, and none of them will touch their food with this product in it. I have tried offering it wet or dry, and with treats in the bowl. I would like to give this product a five star rating however, due to the fact that my horses wonât touch it I cannot do that.
