Great knife
This was great for me..my horse has hard hooves…it worked great on the hooves.

Not sharp
The edges on this are very dull. It will take considerable work to sharpen them up. I canât use this until I buy a sharpener. The price seams reasonable enough and perhaps some people like to sharpen it themselves. It seams a decent enough quality. I would not order this again.

Right-handed
This is a nice handy hoof knife to use. I wasn’t used to having a knife that has a closed blade as this one has. I am more used to the kind the farriers use around this area, which is a straight blade, not a closed ended one. This is the reason I wanted to try it out. I love new tools to help me with my horses that may make my job easier. I think this one is great for putting in a pocket or pack when riding away from home. The rounded closed end makes it safer to travel with and a bit more compact. You can even drill a small hole in the handle and attach it to the strings off your saddle. Totally safe. 😀 I love a wooden handle on any tool. This one appears to be close to black walnut in color. Perfect for the dirt around a horse and barn. What I don’t like is it is a “handed” tool. Meaning that it is right-handed. I am left-handed. The tool will have to be used upside down for me to use it correctly. That is safer than attempting to use my right hand. I have to do that with most scissors too. It’s just a right-handed world. Haha

Size, shape, sharpening ease are all great. Handle fits my hand well for torque when necessary. Definitely recommend if every knife is like the one I have.

als Pferdebesitzer will ich zwischen den Intervallen meines Hufpflegers selbst immer mal wieder kleine Korrekturen vornehmen. Dafür ist das Messer hervorragend geeignet! Liegt gut in der Hand, ist schon bei Lieferung sehr scharf, lässt sich gut führen.
