My Parrots Love These as Treats and/or a Staple. Let Your Bird Decide.
I give these as treats and for some of my parrots, as the bulk of their diet, because no matter how healthy the cooked food or the raw diet might be, it’s only going to help them if they eat it.I have yet to have a bird turn down a Nutri-Berry.My birds are in perfect health, so I have to say, these are doing their job, and more.I have a Timneh African Grey (the smaller version of the Grey parrots), and she really loves these large nutri berries.She takes it in her claw, talks to it lovingly, rubs it on her head, and then gnaws away on it, whispering sweet nothings to it as she reduces it to dust.If she could make a commercial for these, I think she would.I know she’d buy them for her bird, if she had one.My Amazons really like them, and seem to prefer this Macaw/ larger size to the size down from these.Birds will let you know what they like and dislike.My Cockatoo flings these at me with all of her might, and refuses to even try them.So I’d say let your bird tell you what they think.And if this is ALL they eat (which is true of my tiny Spectacled Amazon, who eats more than my other birds put together)) don’t worry.She’s healthy as a tiny horse, and ruling the bird room with an iron claw.I’m grateful to this company for making something palatable and easily fed.I have these delivered monthly, always fresh, smelling divine, and welcomed with open wings…

These introduced a moth infestation into my home
Updated: I did reach out to Petco regarding this problem and they did refund the cost of the nutriberries. We are still dealing with the fallout from the moth infestation, but atleast I didn’t just throw away $100+ and have all this work in the days/weeks to come. I appreciate them working to rectify the problem and I adjusted my rating accordingly. I still think maybe Lafeber needs better quality control or something? I don’t know how this could be prevented in the future, but I really appreciate Petco working with meWe have been a loyal purchaser of nutriberries for years and we have never had an issue. However, for whatever reason, this batch was different! We now have a moth infestation in our house thanks to this batch of nutriberries! We have to throw away all of the birds’ food, and do a deep clean of their cages, not to mention the time we have to spend killing these moths and then wiping down everything. I am so disappointed because Nutriberries are NOT cheap- for that price I would expect the quality to match.

My Bijou’s choice.
I get these because my African Grey wants them. Bijou has been eating them since she was 4 months old and now she is 22 years. She decides what she gets and she wants these. We call them dozy balls (between us). I get them because she wants them. She has a way of looking at me (like I’m filth) when I give her something she doesn’t want and she throws it on the floor while saying “Whoops!” Not with dozy balls. She loves the spicy ones but they are only available in the super expensive small packs. She’s eating them her dozy balls now. I like Lefabers stuff because I have never found moth eggs in the package. I can’t say the same for other brands when i ended up with moths everywhere and sucked them up with a vacuum. At least the bird was entertained. She hated those moths. Anyway, good stuff, vitamin fortified and parrot approved.

My birds love these!!
I use these as an afternoon treat for my birds and they all love them. I have an Umbrella cockatoo and two african greys. They are all very excited when they see me bring out the bucket. The bucket is sturdy and keeps everything very fresh until the very last one has been eaten. I do recommend this product to anyone who has birds and is looking for a good treat
