Break very easy
Chickens have broken three out of fiveâ¦They break where they screw into the tee fitting very easily

Work great.
I’ve used mine for a good while now and I have not had any problems. They will get a little dirty after a while, so I keep a old toothbrush near by that I have modified by bending the tip some. So just lightly scrub and fling that dirty water out and your good for another 2 or 3 weeks

Making Coops easy to care for.
I like how this product makes it easy to care for our chicken coop. Very efficient design, easy to assemble. One draw back, one of the feeders have already broken off where the 1/4″ thread goes into the water dispensor. Should design that with heaver gauge material as the rooster likely broke it. I had to order a whole new pack of feeders just to get that one part; however, they are not that expensive.David

Chickens keep tipping them and broke one.
Put a gravity hydration system in my chicken coop. These drinking cups work as advertised at first… After having them for a lil’ while, I’m going to switch to the nipples… The chickens kept turning the cups (they screw into the PVC pipe.) The turned cups then drain the 5-gallon bucket dry. I manufactured some brackets to keep the cups from turning. That worked until a “fight” in the coup, one of the cups broke off and, of course, now my system won’t hold water – it will run out where the missing cup is… Don’t recommend… Too many headaches… UPDATE: After just a couple of months, the chickens have broken 3 out of 5 cups. I’m pulling the last two. They don’t last long…

Leak-free auto watering cups!!
I purchased this set of 5 chicken watering cups with 1/2â PVC Tee Fittings for an automatic watering system. These cups are affordable, reliable, and convenient. We all know that coop costs can add up easily, but this was an affordable option! My chickens took to them immediately, and they do not leak or overflow. Although sand from my run can get into the cups, itâs easy to clean by simply twisting them upside down weekly. This minor issue does not reflect on the productâs quality. I highly recommend these watering cups and would buy them again.

Convenient but Hard to Maintain
Pros:Easy to assembleWork very wellI attached them to a 5 gal bucket so it makes morning chores very fast and easyCons:1. Hard to clean – Dirt gets in them throughout the day/week, but they are attached to a PVC pipe screwed onto the wall of my coop, so I can’t just dump them out. For a while I twisted them loose to dump them out, which kept them nice and clean but wore out the attachment pieces. Now I spray them out with a hose when I fill up the bucket, but they can get pretty gross by the end of some days.2. NOT durable. One cup snapped off, and while I was corking the hole and covering it with silicone to get rid of the leak another was bumped and broke off. I’m down to three, and wondering how long they will last.I love the idea of these, and they seemed to me much less likely to leak than other options. But keeping them clean has been a huge hassle, and they’ve broken off and made leaks anyway. I will probably replace them with poultry nipples.

Great option for constant fresh water!
These water cups work great! I saw people posting reviews that were negative because they said, âthe chickens just jump up on them & break them easilyâ. Well duh⦠chickens jump up on anything they have access to. With the following setup, my 5 watering cups have been in place for over a year with zero issues. I used 2 cutoff fence posts cut at a steep angle. Then placed a plank on top. This keeps the chickens from getting on top of the cups. Voila! I have a 55 gallon plastic drum setup for supply water. As far as cleaning⦠just spray the cups out with a garden hose from outside the pin. Easy peezy!

Work, but leakâ¦
I was very hopeful these would help me with daily chicken water filling. I plumbed them into a charged line with a ball valve. Even if the ball valve is just barely cracked, or itâs all the way open, the valves on each cup will leak⦠the weight of the filled cups is not enough to close them. Design flaw, gasket flaw. Something is flawed. So for now I just crack the valve in the morning and fill the cups. It is easier than filling the big water, and with the cups I only have to fill the other water 1/2 the timeâ¦. So it helps, but doesnât work as designed⦠when my farm season is done I might tinker with them and see if I can modify with a glued weight/magnet under the cup to facilitate the pressure on the valve to see if that will stop the leaking.
