Customers say
Customers find the RV step assembly easy to install, particularly for getting into campers, and appreciate its functionality and build quality. Moreover, they consider it good value for money and a perfect replacement for single steps, with a positive appearance. However, the fit receives mixed feedback – while some say it fits perfectly, others mention it’s slightly narrower than expected. Additionally, the bolt quality is also mixed, with several customers noting the lack of included mounting hardware.

If you use the 2 step, you will also want the step stabilizer
My wife has physical limitations and was finding it difficult to get into our 18ft camper with the factory single step. Once I got this installed, she finds it MUCH easier to get into our camper and she is very happy.I tried to find one of the newer door mounted steps all the new campers are coming with. But with the dimensions of our door and camper frame, no one makes a door mounted step that fits our camper.Once these are deployed, they stick out farther than most factory frame mounted steps. When I used the step the first time, I could feel how it rocked our camper due to the leverage of the longer step. So I also installed the Lippert Step Stabilizer on the bottom step and that removed most of the sway/rocking. For us, this was a must.Installation wasn’t hard, but it wasn’t easy either. They were slightly narrower than the factory step, so I had to get some longer bolts and add some super heavy washers as spacers between the step and the camper step frame to fill it the gaps. Also the holes did not line up quite right, so I had to oval out 2 of the holes in the step (didn’t want to permanently mod the camper frame) so I could get the bolts to line up.I am happy with the setup and recommend this if your camper does not have a door mounted step option.

Great product!
They are well made steps! The fitup was a little larger but a few spacers and they fit great!

Easy in and out.
Replaced a scissor style with adjustable legs that was beyond hard to fold out or in. Had to clean and lubricant almost every time we went to use it. This one is a standard equipment type, simple fold and slide, wife can even operate it.Came in a large cardboard box without any additional packing. Box interior smelled like sewage. Two of the horizontal struts were bent, easy to straighten, but some additional packing would have helped. There were also lots of chips and scuffs on the paint job. It almost looked as if someone had tried to install it and changed their mind and sent it back but the box appeared factory sealed. All the direction and warning labels were wrinkled, crooked and curling up. Double check you measurements mine was a tight fit.I would have given it a 5 star for ease of use and basic construction quality but all the little things just made it a little disappointing.

Great improvement – after a little custom work
Our original equipment step (just one level) gave us an 11″ drop from the RV. Building codes don’t seem to apply to RVs. Climbing in wasn’t so bad but we were a little nervous that someone might slip coming out, so we looked for a better way. We have a Lippert chassis, so replacing the old one-step version with a Lippert two-step version seemed reasonable. Others have noted that there is a small gap (side to side) that needs to be filled with shims and that turned out to be the case. A few stainless washers used as shims on each side cured that problem. With RVs, I guess there is no One-size-fits-all. If we had mounted the steps as they came, ground clearance would have been a problem and we would have still had about a 9″ drop from the RV. The side supports are pretty stout stuff, but I was able to cut out a 3 x 4″ notch from each side with a Sawzall with a metal blade. It went really well and the result is a big improvement. Drop is now 7″ and the steps are very sturdy.Another improvement is the ease of pulling the steps out. The new steps use a different design. Deploying the two is much easier than the original single step.

In my case it wasnât a simple install as the front bolts from the old 1 step matched-up but I hand to drill holes for the rear bolts (not a big deal). Also my old step bracket was 25â and the new was slightly bigger but was able to use a floor jack and push into place. The stairs work and look great now they are installed. Very happy. They are well built and seem very strong.Just be aware that it may not be a simple swap project

The steps are a direct replacement for the OEM steps. Awkward to hold in place and bolt it down just due to the weight, but took less than half and hour to take the old step off and replace with the new one.

We bought these for our pop up camper and they worked well! The last step is very close to the ground/grass but it did the job!

Unfortunately had to return because on my snowmobile trailer the wheel was installed in line with the door opening and was only 9″ from the wallYou need a couple feet clear for the stepThe step appears to be well made.
