Good quality and big quantity
Big quantity always saves you money. Look at the price per pound. The birds in my neighborhood love this as well as my pet birds.

Great all purpose mix
Very little red milo, shelled seeds are great this time of year at 8000 ft in the Colorado Rockies. Mix was clean and smelled fresh.

No mix is perfect but this is one of the best I’ve come across
I have only put this out in the yard for a couple of days, but with plenty of experience with lousy birdseed blends, here is my review. Being a bit of a lab nerd with a lot spare time, I took a 100g sample and used sieves and some hand picking to separate the ingredients. The results, by weight: 40% sunflower, 35% millet, 25% corn, and 5 peanuts weighing less than 1 gram. More corn than I would like, but notice: 0% milo! At least cracked corn doesn’t sprout all over your yard, and one mix I tested was over 70% milo plus cracked corn (probably a great mix if you want to attract wild turkeys). There are a lot of reviews for mixes I’ve tried and rejected, and they usually do not mention what species “love” the product. This one will attract doves, finches, sparrows, junkos, grackles and other small, seed eating birds. There is a high percentage of corn, but it is cracked into (mostly) smaller pieces than other mixes I’ve use. I don’t know which birds are eating it (or maybe it’s rodents), but most of the corn is being consumed by some critter. And no more milo sprouts all over the yard! I do get a few millet sprouts, and the sunflower hulls make a major mess, but overall it’s a pretty good mix.,

Very Heavy
The seed is great, but the bag is very heavy and hard to handle. This is the first time that I bought this size bag.

Best brand on the market
Feeding wild birds has been a learning experience, figuring out the best food and feeders, ect. I discovered that a lot of the top brand bird food varieties have all kinds of wood chips and saw dust mixed in; which probably adds weight, but is completely inedible trash. So far, Lyric is the only brand that delivers pristine product. I truly trust a brand with integrity and pride in their products. It’s worth the money knowing I’m giving my songbirds quality food. Thank you!
