MAX AND NEO – CHAIN MARTINGALE COLLAR
WHAT IS A MARTINGALE COLLAR?
The main difference between a martingale collar and a regular collar is that it tightens up as a dog pulls. The purpose of this is not to choke a dog, but to prevent a dog from escape the collar. Many dogs have heads that are the same size or smaller than its neck. With a regular collar, when a dog backs up from up, it may be able to slip a regular collar. With a martingale collar, when this happens, the collar tightens and prevents it from come up over a dog’s head.
“MANY DOG RESCUES ONLY EXCLUSIVELY USE MARTINGALE COLLARS”
PROPER SIZING
Our martingale collars are measured fully extended. When measuring your dogs neck, please measure his neck near the top portion and be sure to press down through all its fur to get an accurate measurement. Most people do not press down the fur to get a correct measurement. This leads to them over measuring their dog’s neck. And leads to them ordering a size that is too large.
When the collar is on your dog, the metal rings at the ends should not touch. The nylon portion attached to the D-ring should be extended. If you pull on the D-ring and the collar does not tighten, then the collar is too large and must be adjusted smaller.
GREAT FOR TRAINING
A martingale collar also tightens if the dog is pulling on a leash. You can give your dog slight corrections and it will respond much better than if it were wearing a regular collar.
YOUR PURCHASE HELPS A DOG RESCUE
For every collar sold, we donate a to a dog rescue. Dog rescues are in constant need of dog supplies. We donate 1 for 1 for every purchase. By purchasing one of our dog collars, you receive a premium high quality collar and you donate one to a rescue. Together we can support dog rescues with a never ending supply of collars.
Each month we donate to different rescues throughout the USA. At the end of every month, we tally up the number of leashes and collars sold. Based on the number, we determine how many rescues we can donate to for that month.
We donate down our list of rescues until each one has received a donation and then we go back to the top of our list. In special cases, we will donate to rescues out of turn based on their immediate needs.

MAX AND NEO COLLARS ARE REFLECTIVE
MAX AND NEO COLLARS ARE REFLECTIVE
Which collar do you want your dog to have at night? Test out our collar yourself by shining a light at it in the dark. We think you will be impressed at its reflectivity.
REFLECTIVE COLLAR EFFECTIVENESS
Many other collars use a thin line of reflective stitching or a reflective tape that may peel off if the collar gets wet.
The chain martingale collar uses 2mm wide bands of reflective stitching around both edges of the collar. This gives the collar a large amount of reflective surface area compared to other collars.
Our chains are made with 304 Stainless Steel
* Please note that even high quality stainless steel chains may cause some dog’s fur to become darkened.
Lockable buckle
Our buckles have a locking clasp that prevent accidental release when grabbing onto the collar. This feature is preferred by many shelters and rescues.

Best Collar Out There – Durable, Stylish, and Supports a Great Cause!
The Max and Neo Stainless Steel Chain Martingale Collar is hands down the best collar Iâve ever bought for my dogs! My two littles have theirs in their favorite colors. First of all, the quality is outstandingâthe stainless steel chain is super durable and doesnât tarnish or rust, even after lots of outdoor use. It does not stick when cinched like choke collars are so famous for. The collar feels strong and secure without being too heavy, and the nylon is soft, which means itâs gentle on my dogs’ necks. What I love most is the martingale design, which gently tightens when he pulls, giving me better control without choking or discomfort. My dogs respond so much better with this collar, and walks are so much more enjoyable! Plus, itâs incredibly easy to put on and take off, and it doesnât get tangled in the fur.As a huge bonus to me being in animal rescue, Max and Neo donates a collar to a dog rescue for every purchase, which makes me feel great about supporting a brand with a purpose. This collar is worth every pennyâhigh quality, great design, and supporting a good cause. Highly, highly recommend for any dog owner—large, medium and small!

Great for a bully breed dog
Perfect martingale collar for training. Very durable without harming the dogs throat. Nice weight to the collar – needed for a bully breed. The design is great in that it has a buckle to put the collar on – and a lock on the buckle so that the dog is unable to unlock the clasp.

Well made and cannot be slipped.
Iâve used all fabric martingale collars for years and on all my dogs. But, my ânewestâ rescue is a 127 lb Lab who has failed two sessions of obedience lessons and I realized I needed a collar that he could not slip (he slipped custom made all fabric martingale collars) and will give me more control. Nicely made, sturdy and good fit. I only wish it came with metal snap buckle, which I prefer.

Nice and sturdy
For my 7 month old rambumscious pup, it’s one step back from the pinch collar, but a reminder at the same time to stop pulling and listen.

With one exception, this is a great collar
Bought a small pink one and have been very happy, though there is an issue you should be aware of. The collar itself is strong, the pink is lovely on our girl, there is a small amount of reflectivity at night, the short chain allows the collar to sit loose on the neck and only tighten a little when pulled (and even then it’s no tighter than what we’d have a regular collar set for to avoid loosing the dog on a busy and stressful street), and seems secure. If I needed to replace this, I’d buy the exact same one in a heartbeat. The sole issue that is addressed in the ad copy but not as obvious as it should involves the effect of the stainless steel on white hair. The “stainless” in any stainless steel refers to protecting the metal from corrosion or other damage. That it does quite well and why it’s used for implanted surgical devices. But something in the iron alloy (presumably the chromium part) causes pure white dog hair to discolor temporarily, so if your dog has a white chest and neck and you keep this collar on 24/7, you’ll start seeing a smudge develop that looks like the dog is wearing a grey neckerchief. This won’t be a problem if (a) you give your dog a bath each week (a washcloth and some pet shampoo will remove the discoloration), (b) you only use the collar for daily walks and then remove after you return to the home, or (c) the area around your dog’s lower neck (the upper is not affected due to the weight of the metal always pointing downward)upper chest is already dark. For our rescue who is being leash trained and house broken, using the collar only sporadically is not an option for the next couple months. NOTE: The darkening is (as far as I know) both harmless and temporary, but if you are one of those nutso owners who have to have their white-haired pets looking National Dog Show-ready at all times, this collar isn’t for you.Nick in Palm Springs

Great collars
This is my 4th one bought. 2 are for our 2 dogs (one is a grand dog who comes daily) after going through a few harnesses. We do walk a lot off leash (safe areas & no other dogs), but collars allow easy access and control when needed. Our big fluffy girl no matter how the harness was made could get out of them. She went no where, but has a fear of some locations, especially the vet. These worked so well with her 100pds of fluff. Gives us so much more control & her confidence when itâs on. I bought one for our other grand dog who was out growing hers & she visits when mom/dad are gone. I just bought another to have in our house for walks with a leash for our boy. Time to get longer walks restarted as soon as my knee fully heals. The the main 2 collars stay in our vehicle.

Excellent for aggressive dogs⦠Itâs excellent for any type of dog
This is the only thing thatâs really worked for me. My dog is dog aggressive, and it helps me walk him and control him when we pass other dogs. It is excellent.

It may be more expensive than some collars on Amazon but this is high quality, well finished and strong. The pink colour is a lovely vibrant hot pink and the high visibility stitching is clear and evident. It also has a small loop to attach your tags to so they hang nicely. Can highly recommend. Can’t comment on the chain changing the colour of the fur as it only arrived today but I’ll update this review if anything changes.

Researched this collar as best for not being able to slip over head. Works a treat. Dog better behaved now.

I was searching for a good quality martingale collar for my very strong, stubborn, pulling dogs and came across this one⦠I LOVED that they gave a collar to rescues for ever ONE COLLAR THEY SOLD! That along with all the positive reviews⦠made my choice easy even though they werenât the cheapest. I bought 2, one for each four legged jerk and they are incredible!! Not cheaply made. Very good quality and best of all no more running after my a$$hat of a dog in my jammies first thing in the morning after they slip their giant head (which you would think would house a much bigger brain) from their regular collar! (Yes I do love my stupids more than life itself and am joking..for the most part..ð)

Muy seguro, mi cachorra puede andar con el collar flojo. Pero al momento de estirarlo se cierra y no puede sacárselo, además tiene un seguro para que su broche no se abraLo recomiendo sobre todo para iniciar su entrenamiento
