Good for even picky eaters!
My little guy can be picky about rodent blocks and historically has not eaten them well. He cleans these up and is very excited when he hears the bag! There is a little more dust/fines than I would like, but overall this doesnât detract from the value for price, nutrition, or palatability for him.

Mazuri rat food is pretty much the gold standard for rat and mouse lab blocks. You can’t really go wrong with it. However, there’s always room for improvement. Four suggestions to Mazuri….1) Make it less crumbly and dusty. When the rats eat the blocks, the blocks leave behind more food dust than most other blocks. This could be improved.2) Make your lab blocks taste a bit better. My girls seem to prefer the Oxbow and Kaytee stuff over Mazuri. Granted, I like Mazuri over those brands for other reasons, but that’s a different topic. Mazuri could improve the taste a bit I’m sure3) Sell your lab blocks in bulk bags for lower prices. You’d blow your competitors out of the water if you did that.4) You (Mazuri) might consider making a young rat version of your lab blocks. I know lots of companies do that. Young rats tend to need more protein than older rats. Just a thought.Overall good product. I can’t complain. My rats like it, the vet likes it, and I generally like it. I actually tasted one of the lab blocks once. It’s a bit bland, but not bad honestly (it ain’t five star restaurant food, but I figure the least I can do for my girls is to make sure their food is palatable by trying it for myself one time).
