Works well
This has a clean scent and really helps eliminate urine odors which in turn reduces the number of files in my barn. Lasts a long time too since you dilute it.

A Great Stall Refresher
When three out of five of your horses are mares, you become quite familiar with the strong the odor of urine in a horse stall. Even with daily cleaning, the pungent scent lingers, especially when the girls are in heat. Thank goodness I took a chance on this product! The gallon is concentrated so I can dilute according to my needs, making it very economical. The fresh scent immediately deodorizes the horse stalls. I’ve also used it in my outdoor lean-to used by our goats. Again, it works well. Microbe-Lift has proven a life saver for all our livestock.

This product is easy to use. I spray maybe once a week. My horse had a bit of thrush developing but has cleared up. I do the regular hoof care and use thrush buster, added this product and no thrush. Plus mine uses one corner makes it even easier

Was Hoping This Was The Answer
We have a quarter horse and a thoroughbred in our pasture. Mosquitos are still a problem out in the pasture and they are hanging out in their pest controlled stalls. Of course, that means muck and urine. We keep the stalls pretty clean and use a bedding of pine pellets that absorbs urine. Still, when the bedding has been down for over a week, the urine can leave a stench.
We usually use Sweet PDZ, which works but is expensive. We saw mixed reviews for this product, but thought it was worth a try. I did some research on Microbe-Lift and saw that the company is based in Coral Gables, Florida and has been around since 1976. Obviously, reputable folks who made their name fighting pond algae.
We got the Eliminator and was surprised to see no active ingredients listed whatsoever. Maybe they don’t have to list what’s in their bottle, but I always like to know before putting down around our expensive horses. I take them at their word that there is a proprietary, non-toxic blend of enzymes that go to work on the ammonia, but there is more than that. The soapy smell tells me that there is some scent added to the product. Maybe that’s why some reviewers claim odors are masked, not eliminated.
I think the answer may be both…they mask the ammonia with some fragrance until the enzymes do their work. The scent is pretty strong and I wish they would do without it….and at least tell us what it is with some labeling. The Microbe-Lift Eliminator is not a disaster and works to an extent. Sweet PDZ goes to work with enzymes but does not have a perfumy, soapy smell. I’ll stick with the Sweet PDZ.

One Gallon Dilutes Down to 10 to 50 Gallons of Manure and Odor Eliminator Spray
Microbe-Lift Horse Manure & Urine Eliminator 1 gallon concentrate is a useful addition my small hobby farm. I ordered this thinking it was just an odor eliminator, but was very pleased to see that it also encourages the breakdown of solids with a combination of yeast, fungi, and bacteria. Depending on the level of odor or soiling, it is recommended to dilute at a 1:10 to 1:50 concentrate to water ratio.
The scent is light and pleasant, especially when diluted. I do not use it for horses, but it has worked well on outdoor dog kennels and wooden animal pens that have had strong urine odors. It also works for cleaning litter boxes to remove stubborn smells.
I haven’t had the chance to use this on manure or solids yet, but am planning to use it this spring when cleaning out a chicken coop. I am hoping that it will act as a compost accelerator on mixed wood chips and chicken manure. According to the packaging, the enzymatic action is supposed to increase the nutritional value of the composted manure and make it more available for plant uptake.
