Very addictive to birds and squirrels.
I have been feeding birds, and unfortunately squirrels, for many years and have used a wide variety of seeds however I have never seen a seed which attracts birds and squirrels like this seed.
Recently I did not fill my feeders on a very rainy day and when I looked at my seed bin the next day someone, Mr. Squirrel, chewed a hole in my bin containing bags of 3 separate seeds including this one. The only bag that was torn open was this no waste bird seed.
On a normal day the little birds swarm my feeders containing this seed even though they have 2 other types to eat.
I am very impressed with how not only the squirrels but the birds as well like this food.

Extremely happy
I live on the American River here in California so these birds seem to be picky. If the food is not their fave they will just eat bugs.. but this bird food they love! I put a different brand in the other feeder next to this brand bc so many say it was the best but, the birds here say different. I added video and photo evidence of my test results. (Keep in mind Iâm not a professional and I will leave the other brand up in hopes the birds start to like it.) I recommend this brand if you live in my area. It still might work if you donât live in my location give it a try. The value and quality is perfect. The size of the bag work for me it filled all my feeders and I still have lots. Like all bags itâs easy to poor in into the containers if you cut the bag properly. The bag is strong enough to twist and not break too easy. As for appearance, The bird food looks to be clean and has enhance the yellow on the finches so it must be healthy and good. Also, the frequency of birds choosing this brand over 2 others tells me they like it the most. The mess on the floor is quite massive, but I canât say itâs due to the brand or due to user error. As I said, if you look in the video, you will see they do pull out food and drop it, but youâll also notice that the one cage that I have the food in could be the biggest problem. Either way, I donât mind the mess because the Location I have the bird-feeder doesnât affect me in anyway and if it grows then I donât have to keep buying that much more Bird feed because guess what itâll grow and reproduce itself win win for me and birds. lol ( yes I have bird feeders in several locations. 7 birdseed feeders in total not counting the 3 catch trays . Please know I added sliced almonds to the large bar bird feeder ..

Wild birds love it!
This seed is expensive but the wild birds who come to my yard LOVE it! I had nearly run out of my regular brand and wanted to get something quickly because it had been so cold that the snow on the ground couldnât melt. I went to Amazon and found this seed and decided to try it because I was dragging sunflower shells into my house every time I came in. This birdseed is fantastic: no shells and Iâve helped keep the birdies alive this winter. Win-Win!

Birds go insane for this!
This is the only seed I use as the birds absolutely love it and there’s no shell mess. After reading some other reviews I thought I would update that I have a hanging square metal basket type feeder that the birds can sit on or in and a squirrel guard above it. It’s also hanging from a tree so it doesn’t get too affected with the rain but there’s air circulation with the basket and if there is water it runs right through it. Being over the dirt like that I don’t ever see the seeds that might get tossed out or step on any and I have a group of birds that prefer to peck at the ground seeds anyway. They all have their favorite spots I am coming to find. Occasionally I will see a bird throw out some of the millet but for the most part they go insane for this! I’ve gone from a handful of birds to the point where I can’t count anymore! You know the saying the early bird catches the worm? Well I usually wait till at least 9 a.m. to feed them and they go through and eat all of the insects, spiders etc. off of my fruit trees & plants so having so many birds works out for me as well. Things that had spiderwebs daily no matter what I did no longer do. I have a whistle that I do so that they know that the food is there and they come from all over the surrounding area. They seem to come in the morning and again in the afternoon. I care about my birds, so I put a 4 foot convertible fence around their feeder area to keep the cat across the street away who was trying to hunt them. I also have on talk radio 24 hours a day to not only keep the cat away, but also the foxes out of my yard at night, the crows away from eating their eggs during nesting season and the red tail hawks from snacking on my birds while they eat. I saw a hawk a few feet from their feeder when the radio wasn’t on so that’s why it’s on 24 hours now. You want talk radio because it sounds like people sitting outside. It’s a constant battle, but it definitely helps! As the group gets bigger, unfortunately so does the need for buying a lot more bags and $$. That’s the only unfortunate thing. When the Ukraine stuff started birdseed skyrocketed for a while as they are one of the largest producers of sunflower seeds. It’s back to it’s basically $18 price now. I looked on Chewy and it’s the same price but you have to buy a certain amount in order to get free shipping so I am sticking with Amazon. I buy large bags of clean shelled peanuts & shelled sunflower seeds that I mix in for extra protein and treats from another company on Amazon. The quality and the lack of mess will keep me buying this product over and over. I tried one other brand and it didn’t compare so try it!

The birds love it
I liked the fact this products is shelled. As a result there is more product in the bag. The birds Love it! It comes out to about $2.00 per pound. I forgot to count how many days the first bag lasted. I know it was gone before my every 2 month subscription arrived. Today 5 pounds of birdseed has been consumed by finches, towees, black cap chickadees, woodpeckers, pinion jays, blue jays within 11days. It seems allot to me but…maybe that’s normal. We’ll see on the next 5 pounds. But so far it seems 10 pound bag doesn’t last a month. Observed less red millet and canary seeds in the bag. Mmmm

Sheâll free doesnât mean mess free
I bought this since it was cheaper than the bird seed I previously bought that truly was mess free, but Iâll have to switch back. Thereâs quite a lot of filler that the birds wonât eat and just toss all over the place. It really makes a mess.

No waste
My birds love this. Iâve had several brands that there is a lot of waste. I live in the DFW area and this is one they enjoy. I have a varietyâ¦titmouse, doves, cardinals, sparrows, wrens, Blue Jays, and finches.
