For the birds
I have a plethora of mourning doves in the yard. This food is a hit! They like it so much better than ordinary bird food. It’s like a dog treat only for birds. I would recommend it if you like doves.

Great seed, great value
This is the only seed I will buy. I threw some on the ground and the next day, a mourning dove showed up. Now there are upwards of 17 mourning doves that visit my yard! The sparrows also LOVE this mix and will eat every last particle. I’ve also seen some grackles enjoying the mix (I didn’t know they ate seed). It’s so cute to see all of the birds feasting together 🙂

Best Cat Toy Ever… maybe
I live in the city and have a basement window that is at sidewalk level. The cats love to sit in the window watching the world go by, unless the world involves a person that gets too close, has a siren or is a street sweeper. But one of the things in the world the do like when it gets close are the evil city birds. Once i noticed that the cats were freaking out over the birds various tricks to attract them. I threw bread out for them, which kind of worked, I used a different type of seed which they kind of liked but only attracted sparrows or mourning doves. Well ever since I got this stuff it is like bird central out there. Every sparrow in the city is hanging out wanting breakfast and they bring all of their pigeon and dove friends with them. It is like a scene out of a Hitchcock movie. Alas i think it may be too many birds for the cats. They seem to be suffering from bird overload. They are not sure if they should watch them, lunge at them, quiver in excitement until they explode or just take a nap and ignore them. Either way it has gotten the cats to come hang out in the basement with me while I work which in turn has made them much more social.So if you want to attract every ground feeding bird in the city, this stuff is for you. If you have cats, that like birds, this stuff is for you. If you like eating handfuls of bird seed, this stuff may be for you, it looks like quality bird seed.

My bird, Russell, loves this food.
I rescued a Collared Dove from the gutter, about 5 years ago. This product is a God send. I was buying Dove food in the store and within a few days, there were bugs in it.Now, Russell loves this food and when I take him out everyday, all the other birds love this food as well. Iâm so glad I found it!

Some parts aren’t touched
I got these for the mourning doves that come to my yard. They normally just get the scraps that fall from the feeders, so I wanted to get something to put on the ground just for them. They seem to skip over whatever the orange seeds are. No other birds are eating them either. They like the rest of it, but I have a bunch of those orange seeds all over my yard that no one is eating. I’ve seen good reviews for this product for mourning doves specifically, so not sure if mine are just really picky or if it’s a regional thing (I’m in the PNW).
