Balanced PH and easy set up.
Amazing! The PH levels in my aquariums have never been so easily maintained! Plus, it is so pretty and natural. My fish love it! There is some water in the bag, but that is necessary to maintain itâs quality.

Excellent Subsrtate
I combined this with my other bio active substrate for a new tank and it has been an excellent decision for me. Cloudy at the beginning when you first put the water in but cleared pretty fast after only 24 hours. DO NOT wash this as they are bioactive. VERY, VERY HAPPY with this purchase, will recommend a hundred percent and will purchase again.

Easiest way to start a Cichlid tank
I was in the process of starting a new Cichlid tank and was trying to figure out how to cycle it properly before adding fish. This seemed like an amazing idea since I had to add substrate anyway, why not have it bioactive already.Only thing I did wrong was add this after I put water in the tank. The water was cloudy for days(first pic). That being said, not sure if it wouldnt have been cloudy if I added this and then water either.Once I put this in my tank I let it cycle for about a week and when I took water readings everything was healthy enough to add fish. They have been super healthy since and the tank looks awesome(second pic). I like how the substrate is a mix of rocks and shells. My fish look really great against this combination(third pic).

Great soil
All of my tropical fish love this substrate. The only thing I’d recommend is making sure that you add the soil before the tank is filled with water. The good bacteria in the soil is very messy otherwise.(The cloudy water will clear the same day)Also this bag comes with liquid bacteria in the soil. If you’re getting this shipped I’d recommend placing the order separate from anything that smelly water can damage. I experienced this myself.

Great product, all natural actual gravel from a river bed with natural bacteria, I even slowly put it into an existing tank and my Chichlids love it

Messy, but after dus5 settles – it works great! Did not clean my acuarium for at least a year, but Gravel is still same color and cichlids are multiplying and multiplying. I guess bio works great for breeding!
