Some great features and some drawbacks
I ordered this for my son and daughter-in-law because their existing monitor was wi-fi dependent and sometimes when the wi-fi wasn’t stable, they were losing their ability to monitor my one-year-old granddaughter. I chose this because it is able to be used with its own monitor – without wi-fi, or connected to wi-fi for viewing on personal phone or tablets. It has some great features, but also some issues.Pros:- It is simple and easy to use- Seems to be a really good product for newborns but is also suitable for toddlers (with some drawbacks about the mounting option and keeping cords away from the toddler)- Ultimate adjustable camera – you can easily adjust the camera to show exactly what you need to see- Clear picture, unless there is a poor connection, then the screen flashes and is blurry (after the first couple of days, this was an issue.)- The user manual is in multiple languages and the monitor has options to use those languagesCons:- the time keeps resetting to 1970-01-01 (yeah – 50+ years ago?) even after being changed multiple times- mounting will be the best way to keep toddlers from getting to the cord, but the cord is only 3 feet long and it must be plugged in to operate- The alarms on the monitor are loud and there is no volume control – so you are stuck with the loud alarm- It has several cool features like feeding, temperature, humidity, and “smart care” which turns the motion and crying detection on or off as desired.- It will also play music for baby- the “wallpaper” seems pretty ridiculous because it has pictures of other babies or the brand as options. It sure would be nice to have the option to use a scenic background, or pictures of one’s own child instead of other children.- There is no way to turn of the “automatic night mode.” When the camera is trying to decide if the room is bright enough or if it is nighttime, it switches back and forth repeatedly and there is a clicking noise when it does which could wake a sleeping child.Unsure:The sounds are different than come through the other monitor. Uncertain whether this is distortion or just different…

Good monitor with many usage options and advanced features.
Setup – Setup is very simple for the hardware, monitor, and app. The camera extensions are nice if you want to get a little more reach to a higher point of view. The app connects very easily, no problems with it.Video quality – it’s pretty good. Don’t expect movie quality, but it’s definitely enough for baby monitoring. The monitor and app quality both seem on par with each other. There is a slight delay for the monitor, and a slightly longer delay for the app. Nothing I would consider a deal breaker, probably less than a 1 second delay at worst.Sound quality and loudness – The sound quality of the monitor is decent, and it gets plenty loud to hear from across the room. The sound at the camera (if you talk into the base) is pretty low, and I didn’t find a way to change this volume. Not a deal breaker for me.Range – the range on this unit is really impressive. I had the camera on one side of our house, while I took the monitor to the other side of our detached garage – that’s through concrete walls about 150′ away and it never lost signal. The signal meter never even dropped from full bars, whether I had the antenna up or down.Overall I would recommend.

It took a while downloading the AP’s.Two way communication, motion detection, temperature reading worked fine.The music feature is nice.The camera activity can be viewed on a phone and the supplied display.Picture quality is okay.It randomly lost the WIFI connection, this could be a problem with the WIFI, which will be determined after troubling the system.
