More vitality from a single food
The ingredients are key. Many fish food products contain so much filler and provide little in the way of nutrients. That is not the case with the Northfin brand. Note the first ingredient starts with the word “Whole” which means you are not just getting the cast offs from fish processing. Fish meal and Whole fish meal are different and you need to be aware of it. This food is formulated for both omnivores and carnivores which is also important when feeding a community tank. I like that garlic is also added. The fish find the food to their taste because of it.
It also comes in a ziploc container, but I will probably put the whole container within another and add a desiccant to keep the product fresh.

    Had high hopes
I heard a lot of people rave about how healthy this food is for your fish. Unfortunately, it could cure every disease known to fish and it wouldn’t matter because my fish just can’t/won’t eat it. It’s super hard and trying to crumble it between my fingers is impossible so no idea how the fish are supposed to eat it. It also immediately sinks to the bottom of the tanks so only bottom feeders have a real chance at it.

My fish don’t seem to like it that much
It’s either my fish are not used to or don’t like the Northfin food. I also bought the Krill Pro and although they like the Krill Pro better, they are still not going crazy about it like they do with some of the other brands.
I guess I’ll end up making it jello food by grinding and mixing it with garlic guard.

    1 mm Pellets
Good quality ingredients in these Northfin products. 1 mm pellets were too big for my fish. They barely touched it. Even my Blue Acara. I mostly have mollys and platys.

Pellet size is too big for my tetras, they try to eat it but have to wait for it to soften.
