Can’t beat Cosequin
People in the horse world know that Cosequin is a very good supplement. I use this for my dog and dose it accordingly. Don’t waste your money on cheaper supplements, go for quality.

A good economical way to get the good stuff for your dog
It takes a bit more work than handing one of the pills to your dog as a treat. You do have to pull it out and then have to measure and then sprinkle over their food, but do a cost analysis and it is worth it if you feel that nutramax is the only way to go with Glucosamine Chondroitin for your dog.

Keeps my old man moving
My Appendix (Thoroughbred/Quarter Horse) gelding is 27 years old. He retired from eventing in his late teens, and has been my dressage mount and trail companion for the past five years. Predictably, he started moving stiffly a few years ago. He was not outright lame, but would be hesitant to move forward freely and lengthen his stride at the trot and canter. He would also refuse to go up hills on trail rides, and act irritable if I asked too much of him.I started him on Cosequin per his vet’s recommendation about a year ago. It has not turned him back into a five-year-old, but my goodness, if you could see what my old man can do! People are stunned when I tell them my horse is 27 years old and, yes, we school dressage. No, we didn’t stop at Training Level. Yes, he does lateral work. Half-pass is his favourite. Flying changes? Sure. His canter pirouette won’t win us Olympic gold, but the fact that a horse of his age can–and is willing to–perform a schooling pirouette is more than enough for me.There are a few key things I should mention here:1). I have a ridiculously healthy horse. I know this. I did not start with a run-down, decrepit horse and turn him into a miracle case with a simple joint supplement.2). My horse lives on pasture, 24/7/365. He is allowed absolute freedom to move around in the pasture as he sees fit, which helps to prevent him from stiffening up while standing in place for too long.3). My horse was in regular work before starting Cosequin; I did not take an old horse out of a field, throw him on a supplement, and expect him to be a fluid mover. All things considered, however, I absolutely do credit Cosequin for allowing me to continue working my horse at his advancing age. I highly recommend it for any senior horse who needs a bit of help to keep things moving due to the natural aging process.

Great for equine
We use this for our donkey for preventative. Itâs easy to put in her bottle or in her feed. We give her one scoop a day

Older horse doing much better having Cosequin concentrated supplement!
I have now puchased 3 of this product. My older horse has responded extremely well. It’s concentrated and will save you a lot of $. I give her 1 scoop daily and add it to her pellets and/ or her senior dry food. If you decide to use this, it’s 2 scoops per day for the first 2 weeks. This is a good product, I only give 4 stars because nothing is perfect.

Cosequin
All of my horses have been on this for the past two years. I keep my younger ones on it for preventative and then my old guy to help with his flexibility while having his hooves worked on. I will continue to keep my horses on this.

Really works!
I’ve used Cosequin off and on for 20+ years, depending on the ages of my horses. I just started using it again for my 21 year old mare and within a few weeks, she’s already moving better, lifting her legs for hoof cleaning (she was resistant before Cosequin) and seemingly happier. I’ve started using it for my 17 -y-o as well, although he isn’t exhibiting any movement issues.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST I’VE USED!
I have absolutely sworn by this stuff since 2000 when my equine vet recommended it for an elderly mare. After many, many, *many* years of experience with horses, I believe this is the best oral supplement/medication on the market. It actually works! The canine version and the human version also work, and its my understanding that this was the most highly recommended brand name by medical professionals. Most of my animals have shown definite responses within the first 60 days, but some have required as much as 90 days if they began their doses while in particularly bad shape. And some have shown improvement within less than 30 days. Do be sure to follow instructions regarding a “loading” dose and do give it a full 90 days – and its more than likely that you’ll have the satisfaction of seeing your horse (or mule or pony or dog or whatever critter is taking it) become much more comfortable.TOTALLY recommended!
