The OASE CrystalSkim 350 innovative aquarium surface skimmer quickly and effectively frees the aquarium surface of floating debris and substances. The skimmer eliminates any biofilm from the water’s surface. Removing biofilm is important for proper oxygen flow in the aquarium. CrystalSkim is also designed to catch even the finest plant debris that are almost impossible to remove with a net. CrystalSkim 350 is compact in size and has a powerful and quiet motor. The flow is adjustable, ensuring a crystal-clear water surface at just the right output. An integrated collection basket ensures the safety of the aquarium inhabitants. Small slots in the collection basket prevent livestock from being pulled in. The floating ring is designed to allow the CrystalSkim to still skim the waters surface even if the skimmer isnt level. In addition to skimming, the unit is designed with a bottom discharge that creates flow in what would be dead spots normally. Easily install the CrystalSkim 350 into fresh or marine water aquariums up to 92 gallons. The included mounting unit with suction cups secures the skimmer to your aquarium. Easily remove the skimmer from the mounting unit for maintenance. Designed using German engineering, this skimmer is protected with a 3 year warranty.

Quiet and works perfectly
This surface skimmer works awesome on my 40 gallon saltwater tank. Itâs quiet, doesnât leak and fits perfectly on the tank. Itâs very durable and easy to clean. Gets the job done and keeps my tank looking great! Also a great price

This unit increases surface agitation and removes oily residue from the top of the water.
This is a really good surface skimmer. If you’re looking for something to pick up leaves from a planted tank, or to catch the duckweed in your tank, excess food, etc. this isn’t the unit. But if you have a tank of Mbuna or other aggressive eaters and there is a constant oily film on the top water in your tank, this will remove it. I have it in a 75 gallon planted tank with about 30 Mbuna and it works great. Be sure to unplug it when feeding and to remove any plant debris from it daily with the provided plastic tweezers.

Works well once adjusted to the correct height.
I bought this one due to low price and that it had a long cord. (First brand i bought, I found the cord was way too short to even plug in while inside the tank). Was very noisy at first and blowing air bubbles until I figured out how to get it at the right level so the skimmer intake floats on the surface and can go down as the water evaporates. Very quiet after that and no bubbles. Works well and cleared all the surface scum off in about 20 minutes from our 65 gal turtle tank. I set it on the light timer switch so it only runs about 10 hours a day. I will buy a second for our other tank since it works so well.

Good product…
Skimmer works well, noise level remains almost unnoticeable, no assembly required, value for money great, product arrive in good working order, and the item remains very compact and takes up very little space.

Semi-clean surface, or micro-bubbles. Your choice.
I got the Crystalskim 350 to help with the surface build up I was experiencing in my 75 gal aquarium. As others have stated, itâs not the easiest thing to set up. It is way too powerful. Even on the lowest speed setting and having the filter as far down in the water as it could go, I still was experiencing micro-bubbles. To solve this, I replaced the provided extremely coarse filter pad with a more fine pad that i cut to size. That solved the issue. Although, i expect this is going to lead to more frequent maintenance. My other complaint is the unit i received is grey, not black. Which is unfortunate because my background is black and i was hoping this would blend in. It doesnât. Construction seems solid, it is quiet, and it made a visible difference in about 30 min. This is my first Oase product, so only time will tell. So far, it does what itâs supposed to. But since i had to modify a $35 surface skimmer, and i received the wrong color, iâm rating the Oase Crystalskim 350â¦3 stars.*Edit*The micro-bubbles came back. The only solution I can find is lowering the flow rate all the way down. Which reduced the filterâs effectiveness significantly. The filter is not capable of keeping the surface clean on its lowest setting. So its either a semi-clean surface, or microbubbles. Iâm knocking this piece of junk down to 1 star. This is what i get for not getting a Fluval. If the Fluval sk400 was easier to find in America, I would have never went with this hunk of crap in the first place. Avoid this purchase.

Great Skimmer to Protect Shrimp and Small Fish
I used an Eheim small skimmer for many years. But I was tired of having shrimp and small fish get trapped in it. Most recently, a Kuhli loach got in somehow, even thought they normally stay at the bottom of the tank. The Oase has two levels of protection to avoid large things from getting into the skimmer. The first level is a turret type clear plastic guard, with 4 slots in it. This is similar to the Eheim. The second level is an intake screen that is similar to a filter inlet strainer. Both will prevent fish and large shrimp from getting sucked in. Instead of using the foam filter, I use a small piece of filter pad instead. The Oase also looks more streamlined than the Eheim. Depending on your tank, you might not like that the output of the skimmer points straight down instead of going to the side, but the output power is adjustable. The skimmer is detachable from the suction cup plate, which makes cleaning easier. The Oase has a better build quality than the Eheim. Sometimes it takes fiddling with the filter to make it not eject a ton of bubbles. Adjusting the flow rate and the height fixes it.This is a follow-up. I added a smart plug to my plug strip (Home Depot defiant brand for around $10), so I can easily turn the skimmer on and off. The smart switch has a manual on off switch and is programmable with a schedule via the app. The WiFi works well. I turn it off when the lights go off, I donât want plants or dead fish to clog it at night. Small dead fish can make it past the clear outer guard, but wonât make it past the inner grill. No live fish or shrimp have been sucked in. So far I am not bothered by the output going straight down.

Work but constantly makes bubbles
While the product generally works well, it consistently creates micro bubbles during use. The amount of bubbles varies, sometimes appearing in large quantities and other times just a few, but itâs an issue that persists each time. This was a bit disappointing, as it affects the overall look of the aquarium.

Quit working after a month
Had it for a little over a month. Worked very well. Then decided to stop working all together for no reason at all. Going to contact Oase warranty. Probably best to avoid this product.Edit: would like to say that after contacting customer support, they insisted that the impeller be cleaned. You pull off the bottom of the skimmer and it comes free. Mine was barely dirty. Maybe the magnet got off track or had just enough dirt to impede it. Because of this design, it should be cleaned with regular water change maintenance

Crystal clear surface. The oily bio-film is gone in few minutes. I have a 5 gallon betta tank, due to the low flow with betta tanks the oily bio-film builds up. This literally cleared the surface and left it sparkling clean in a few minutes. You can keep it on, or use it whenever the bio-film builds up. 10/10 wish I got it sooner.

Dejó de funcionar a los 3 meses y asà sin garantÃa pues solamente perdà mi dinero. Es muy sensible al nivel de agua de modo que es muy fácil que tire burbujas por todo el acuario cosa que puede dañar corales.
