Fine Sponge Filtration: It provides mechanical and biological filtration and traps debris or waste without sucking up your fish, keeping a crystal clear water tank.
Mini Size: It measures 2″ D x 4.8″ H. Fit for 5 – 10 gallon small tank. Suitable for the breeding and feeding of various ornamental fish, shrimp or fry.
Easy to Clean: The filter can be easily detached for cleaning the dirt. Rinse it every 2 -4 weeks with aquarium water ONLY. Avoid washing it in tap water!
Quiet Aeration: Air powered and causing no disturbance to your daily life. Press the sponge into the tank to fully absorb tank water to make it sink to the bottom.
Air Pump Not Included: You need an extra air pump to run the filter, which processes external air to promote oxygen circulation, providing a healthier tank environment.

Customers say

Customers find the aquarium filter works better than canister filters, is easy to set up, and keeps water crystal clear. They consider it good value for money, with one customer noting it works well for 5 to 10 gallon tanks. The size receives mixed feedback – while some find it good for nano tanks, others say the tube is too big. The noise level and weight also get mixed reviews, with some finding it not too noisy while others say the bubbles are too loud, and some noting the weighted base isn’t heavy enough.

Works well, can be modified to fit in airstone
It doesn’t make much noise once you fit in an air stone which wasn’t /easy/ to do but totally doable. The suction and capability of this filter all depends on your air pump. It’s a good value, I had all the tubing and necessities already and definitely didn’t need more when I just wanted the bare bones sponge filter and this delivered. The bottom is weighted enough it doesn’t float. Appearance wise, it’s taller than it is wider so for flashier fish tanks you’ll have to have taller decor to hide it behind. Great filter overall. I use sand in this tank and the fine mesh was nice to clear up cloudiness

    Love
It was super easy to set up and it works perfectly I did get 2 different shapes but it didn’t change much of how it worked and it didn’t bother me much it’s just used as a back up filter for my 10 gal

    Does it’s job very well.
It’s so cute and skinny thay I can easily hide it behind some of my longer plants and it does it’s job so well. My tank is still so clean after even the whole month. When I had to do my water change for the month, it was still so clean! Great performance and such an easy install. Not too much noise either but that’s mostly on the pump.

    surprised and pleased
I hadn’t used this type of water filter before . Needed something that would work well for a 2 gallon jar that I had decided to use for a betta bowl . This has been really good for space and having clear water condition. The bubbles aren’t too much force for betta either. He actually seems to like it. Pleased with this purchase. Also very reasonable price.

    smaller than expected, works well
It is smaller than I expected from the description, I could have paid better attention. It requires a narrow airstone to fit into the tube. the airstone advertised on the same page did not fit.

    Not a stand alone
I am happy with this filter; don’t get me wrong. But it tells people that it’s good for up to a 30-gallon. I don’t agree, unless you have a densely planted (and I mean LIVE plants) 30-gallon aquarium with, like, ten neon tetras.Yes, I think it’s worth five stars, but only if you use it appropriately. I’m breeding pseudomugil signifiers in a 20-high. I don’t want a lot of water flow. And I only have two fish in there. This filter is all I need or want.Otherwise, if this is the only filter you are going to use, I would not use it for a community tank that is any larger than 10-gallons. I’d use it in a twenty-gallon community in combination with another type of filter like a HOB filter to boost the biological filtration that many HOB filters lack. But I’d never use this on anything larger than a 10, except under conditions as I stated prior. Look how small it is in my 20! And yes, it will take up a lot of space in a 10-gallon, but sponge filters are typically bulky and an eye sore. They’re old fashioned, but one of the best biological filters.

Traditional filter cannot be used for fry. This works well. Six months later I still use it in conjunction with a normal filter for my growing goldfish.

LOVE this sponge filter for my axolotls. It’s much stronger and easier to clean than the ones I got from petsmart (using the same tubing and air stone) – loads of bubbles too!

Smaller than I was expecting but that’s OK because it’s easier to hide with decor. I brought this as I used to have sponge filters in my tank but I upgraded to a tank with a built in filter amd it’s the noisiest thing ever so decided to go back to what I know as its in my room. Best decision ever I think these filters work so well and are perfect if you have fry. Easy maintenance amd so simple but effective. I dont think I’ll ever go back to a standard filter.

I’ve got this in my 5 gallon tank and it works really well and makes little to no noise, the bubbles popping are the only noise coming from this which can be sorted by putting an air stone in the bottom to reduce the size of bubbles, therefore making them even quieter
