This has been a game changer for me. Lasts longer with almost minimal decay or degradation, dissolves easily and the hummingbirds like it. I was using table sugar prior to this.

My local hummingbirds love it! I like that it’s a powder and you can mix just the amount you need to last 3 days – so you can replace it often and it’s always fresh for the hummingbirds. It’s also more cost effective than the bottles of liquid. Also it contains no dyes. Good product!

Easy to mix when you get the water hot. Dissolved quickly. Much easier than making your own on the stove. Iâve bought 3 packages and will buy more as long as we have hummingbirds to drink it.

Wile I can’t really comment on whether the hummingbirds like this more than other brands, it was fairly easy to mix when I figured out the measurements. While it has a chart for oz of liquid and Tbsp of concentrate, it does not have more common measurements like cups per gallon for example. If you’re like me, I make this nectar in a gallon container and would prefer a simple cups per gallon or even a cups per liter (so you could mix up in a common 2L bottle. This package makes 192 fl oz (or 1.5 gallons) of nectar. I like that it’s color-free as I’ve read that’s better for the birds and my feeders are already colored to I don’t need a red liquid. It dissolved well in warm water and is nice and clear in the feeders.

Easy to use
Simply add the product to room-temperature water, stir well and it’s ready for use. It contains no coloring so is supposedly healthier for the humming birds. The texture of the food is just like sugar.

HummingBirds LOVE it!
We feed about 10 or 12 hummingbirds with this liquid. Have 3 feeders that are about a pint each and they devour the liquid every day so we have to refill the feeders daily. It is so fun to watch them fighting over it and often the finches come and take drinks out of it. It is so easy to mix up 1/2 gallon container of it every couple of days and it doesn’t have to be refrigerated – but we keep it out of the direct sun. Sometimes we will use a little of the colored concentrate with the clear so we can more easily see when the feeder is empty but the birds seem to not care if it is clear!

Mixed feelings
The product is easy to put together, just read the Instructions, and I love the idea of feeling the little birdies a mixture that’s doesn’t have any food coloring. However it’s hard to make a fair assessment because the hummingbirds haven’t return. I don’t think it’s because of the food, but only time will tell.
