So easy to put up, but a little tricky to lock and unlock.
The installation of these is beyond simple. You can either just, peel and stick them on the wall or door, or, you can screw them inâ¦your choice. Currently, I just have them sticking to the door and wall, and they are holding very well. I was worried my cat wouldnât be able to get through, but she does just fine at its widest allowance.My only frustration, is they are a little hard to lock and unlock. There is a tiny pin they hook into, and you have to push up a switch, then get the piece perfectly aligned with the pin, and then release the lever hoping you have it right. You can move it around a bit if you are close, b it it is a little bit of a pain. That is my one big complaint. Otherwise, I like them.

Canât believe Iâve never seen something like this until now!! This will be perfect for my cat who just needs a break sometimes from our 70 pound Doberman puppy. He wants to play and she wants to just relax and look out the window. Sometimes she canât even use her litter box without an audience. Iâm so excited to use these! Itâs a two pack which makes it even better. This product is the best thing Iâve run across in a long time!!!

Not awesome.
This product is ok. It is fiddly and awkward to use. It is also pretty thin plastic and peel-and-stick adhesive. If you have a large strong dog, it may not provide much deterrance. I don’t think I’d order these again.

It secures the room
I found this very cumbersome to use. Youâre pushing a button. Youâre lifting little plastic panel to open it. Itâs just to time consuming. Trying to latch it is very difficult. You have to align the one arm with a hole in it while raising the metal stopper to align it with the hole. Not the kind of door mechanism you want if youâre in a hurry for sure. The design needs to be streamlined a bit.It secures the room, but it even makes it difficult for you to get in there.

Easy install and works great!
The adhesive made for a super quick and easy install. I was a bit surprised at how sturdy it felt after installing, only having used the adhesive. It works great and is fairly quick to latch/unlatch. It does however usually require two hands for latching the lock (to hold the arm in place while sliding the lock into place). The smaller length setting is wide enough for my 12lb cat to slip through the door without worry of the door getting closed (it provides access to her litter box). Highly satisfied with this item overall!

Better than a hole in the door
This is a great solution for giving the cat access to a room without cutting a hole and installing a pet door. It is not really attractive (it doesn’t “disappear” into the door), but it does the job.Our cat uses the dog door to go outside, but when sick he wants to isolate and we don’t need him going outside to do that. So we were talking about putting in a door for his favorite hide away room then found this. Problem solved!It was a little awkward to install, hence the 1 star deduction, but it works fine.Would recommend and get another if needed.
